Accounts Receivable Assistant Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a accounts receivable assistant in Wisconsin?
Most Wisconsin employers require at least an associate degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field, though some accept equivalent work experience in lieu of formal education. Wisconsin does not issue a state license specifically for accounts receivable work, so candidates strengthen their candidacy with nationally recognized credentials such as the Certified Accounts Receivable Professional designation. Completing coursework at a Wisconsin technical college, such as Madison College or Milwaukee Area Technical College, is a common and recognized entry path.
Which companies hire accounts receivable assistants in Wisconsin?
Employers hiring accounts receivable assistants in Wisconsin right now include Pieper Electric, TreeHouse Foods, and IAB Solutions, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Wisconsin's deep base of manufacturing headquarters, regional hospital networks, and insurance carriers means consistent AR hiring throughout the year rather than seasonal spikes.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most accounts receivable assistant jobs?
De Pere, Rib Lake, and Green Bay lead Wisconsin for accounts receivable assistant openings. Milwaukee's density of corporate headquarters, hospital systems, and financial services firms drives the largest share of postings, while Madison's mix of state government agencies, university-affiliated organizations, and growing tech employers sustains strong demand, and Green Bay's manufacturing and healthcare anchor employers account for a reliable cluster of openings in the northeast.
Are there remote accounts receivable assistant jobs in Wisconsin?
Yes, and more than most fields, since accounts receivable work is desk-based and system-driven rather than requiring physical presence. About 50% of accounts receivable assistant openings tied to Wisconsin are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how readily billing, invoicing, and collections tasks translate to distributed work. The functions most commonly offered remotely are payment posting, dispute resolution, and collections follow-up.
How can I get hired as a accounts receivable assistant in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to billing assistant or accounts payable clerk roles at Wisconsin's large hospital systems or regional manufacturers, which routinely hire candidates with no prior AR experience and provide on-the-job training. Advocate Aurora Health and Froedtert Health in the Milwaukee area, for example, post entry-level revenue cycle support roles that feed into dedicated AR positions. Completing an accounting certificate at a Wisconsin Technical College System school and demonstrating Excel proficiency gives candidates a measurable edge over applicants without formal credentials.
Where can I find and apply to accounts receivable assistant jobs in Wisconsin?
You can find and apply to accounts receivable assistant jobs in Wisconsin on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, preferred location, and industry, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
