Assistant Account Manager Jobs in Mississippi: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an assistant account manager in Mississippi?
Most Mississippi employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications as the baseline. The role carries no state-issued license, so hiring hinges on education and relevant experience in customer service, sales support, or account coordination. Many candidates enter through inside sales or client services roles at Mississippi-based insurers, telecommunications companies, or logistics firms before moving into a dedicated assistant account manager title.
Which companies hire assistant account managers in Mississippi?
Employers hiring assistant account managers in Mississippi right now include State Farm, C Spire, and Optum, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Mississippi's insurance, telecommunications, and healthcare distribution sectors tend to post the most consistent volume for this role.
Which Mississippi cities have the most assistant account manager jobs?
Jackson, Biloxi, and Hattiesburg lead Mississippi for assistant account manager openings. Jackson drives the largest share as the state capital and home to major insurance carriers, healthcare networks, and corporate offices, while Gulfport and Ridgeland generate strong secondary demand through Gulf Coast logistics operations and the concentrated suburban business corridor along the I-55 corridor north of Jackson.
Are there remote assistant account manager jobs in Mississippi?
Yes, and they're more common than in many fields. About 43% of assistant account manager openings tied to Mississippi are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based, communication-heavy nature of the work. Client reporting, CRM management, and internal coordination tasks translate well to remote arrangements, while account visits and in-person client meetings keep some roles anchored to an office.
How can I get hired as an assistant account manager in Mississippi with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a customer service or inside sales role at a Mississippi insurer, telecom, or regional distributor, then transitioning internally. C Spire and Bancorp South both promote from customer-facing roles into account support positions. A business or marketing degree strengthens any application, and candidates who build CRM proficiency through coursework or internships consistently move faster through early screening at Mississippi employers.
Where can I find and apply to assistant account manager jobs in Mississippi?
You can find and apply to assistant account manager jobs in Mississippi on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your background and target city, and apply directly to the ones that match.
