Beach Club Car Wash is growing quickly in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. With two locations operating today and four additional locations expected to open over the next six months, we are looking for an Assistant Controller who wants to do more than traditional accounting.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of finance, analytics and operations. You will work closely with leadership and our operating teams to understand how each location is performing, help build the financial infrastructure needed to support our growth, and turn financial information into meaningful business decisions.
If you are looking for a highly structured role where every process is already built, this probably isn't it. If you like solving problems, building better processes, understanding what drives a business and having a direct impact on a growing company, we should talk.
What You'll Do
- Support and help lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger activity and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reporting and location-level results
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management
- Partner directly with operations to understand location performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Build and maintain pro formas, financial models and location-level analytics
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Develop and monitor KPIs that help leadership understand the operational and financial performance of each location
- Help leadership understand the economics and key drivers behind individual locations
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting and reporting processes
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve the quality and speed of financial information
- Support the opening and ramp-up of new locations as Beach Club expands across DFW
- Assist with acquisitions, integrations and other growth initiatives as opportunities arise
- Work closely with leadership on special projects and business analysis
- Be willing to step outside traditional accounting responsibilities when the business needs it
What We're Looking For
- 3-7 years of progressive accounting, finance or related experience
- Strong understanding of month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Ability to take financial information and explain what it means to the business
- Comfortable working directly with operational leaders and people outside of finance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes are continuing to evolve
- Experience in a multi-location or multi-unit business is strongly preferred
- Experience in automotive services, retail, restaurants, hospitality, fitness, consumer services or another location-based business is an asset
Designation
CPA or CMA designation is highly valued, but we are also open to an exceptional non-designated candidate with the right combination of accounting experience, analytical ability and operational mindset.
Our compensation reflects both paths:
Non-designated: $105,000-$120,000 base + bonus
CPA/CMA designated: $120,000-$140,000 base + bonus
Why Beach Club?
This is an opportunity to join a business at an exciting point in its growth.
You won't simply inherit a mature accounting function and maintain it. You will have the opportunity to help build it.
You'll gain exposure to operations, new-location openings, financial modelling, location economics, leadership decision-making and the systems and processes required to scale a multi-location business.
For someone who wants to eventually grow beyond traditional accounting and take on broader financial leadership responsibility, there is a lot of runway here.
If you want your next role to give you more ownership, more exposure to the business and the opportunity to help build something as it grows, we'd like to meet you.
Pay: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Assistant Controller Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a assistant controller in Texas?
Most assistant controller roles in Texas require a CPA license issued by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, which oversees the Uniform CPA Examination and licensure requirements in the state. Candidates typically hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with the credit hours required for Texas CPA eligibility. Starting in staff or senior accountant roles at Texas companies in energy, healthcare, or corporate finance is the most common path into assistant controller positions.
Which companies hire assistant controllers in Texas?
Employers hiring assistant controllers in Texas right now include Augmentis, Pratt Industries, and City of Houston, TX, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's large base of energy companies, regional hospital systems, and Fortune 500 corporate headquarters creates consistent demand for this role throughout the year.
Which Texas cities have the most assistant controller jobs?
Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio have the most assistant controller openings in Texas. Houston's concentration of energy, petrochemical, and logistics companies drives the largest share of postings, while Dallas attracts corporate finance roles from financial services and retail headquarters, and Austin's growing technology and healthcare sectors have added steady demand in recent years.
Are there remote assistant controller jobs in Texas?
Yes, though they're less common than in purely analytical roles because assistant controllers regularly coordinate with on-site accounting teams, oversee month-end close workflows, and interact with auditors in person. About 46% of assistant controller openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Financial reporting and budgeting responsibilities tend to be the parts of the role most often performed remotely when hybrid arrangements are offered.
How can I get hired as a assistant controller in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a staff accountant or accounting analyst at a Texas company and moving up through senior accountant roles before stepping into an assistant controller position. Large Texas employers in energy and healthcare, including hospital systems and integrated oil companies, run structured rotational or development programs for early-career accounting candidates. Completing the Texas CPA exam requirements while working in a staff role significantly improves candidacy, and exposure to ERP systems and financial close processes is the most valued on-the-job experience for internal promotions.
Where can I find and apply to assistant controller jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to assistant controller jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles by location or specialty, find positions that match your background, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
