Business Development Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business development job in Miami?
Target Miami's highest-hiring sectors: international trade and logistics, fintech, healthcare services, hospitality, and real estate. Brickell and Coral Gables concentrate corporate and financial employers, while Wynwood and the Design District attract growth-stage startups. Fluency in Spanish is a genuine differentiator here given Miami's Latin American business ties, and direct experience managing partnerships or accounts in those markets will set you apart from generalist candidates.
Which companies hire business developments in Miami?
Employers hiring business developments in Miami right now include The RealReal, QAD, and CBIZ, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's employer mix skews toward multinational firms with Latin American operations, regional fintech and insurtech companies, and healthcare networks serving South Florida.
Are there remote business development jobs in Miami?
Yes, though with limits since business development work often requires in-person relationship building, especially in Miami's relationship-driven international trade and hospitality sectors. About 58% of business development openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the most flexibility found in SaaS and technology-adjacent roles. Pipeline management, outreach, and strategy work are most commonly handled remotely even in otherwise on-site positions.
How can I get a business development job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is through a sales development representative or account coordinator role, particularly at the fintech, logistics, or healthcare companies concentrated in Brickell and Doral. Miami's strong startup scene in Wynwood also hires junior business development associates who can prospect and qualify leads. Bilingual candidates with any Latin American market exposure move to the top of local entry-level pipelines fast.
Which industries hire the most business developments in Miami?
The sectors hiring the most business developments in Miami are Insurance, Chemicals & Materials, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's role as a gateway city for Latin American commerce, combined with its growing fintech and healthcare footprint, makes those sectors the consistent drivers of local business development demand.
