About Atlantis Events
Atlantis Events is the world’s largest travel company dedicated to serving the LGBT community. Atlantis creates unforgettable, curated experiences on cruise ships and resorts to create an entertainment-driven, socially integrated, and just plain fun community at our events. Every touchpoint — from social to email to on-site experience — should feel unmistakably Atlantis: thoughtful, premium, authentic, and deeply human.
The Role
Atlantis is seeking a VP of Marketing to lead and scale our end-to-end marketing engine — with an emphasis on integrated campaign planning, organic social leadership, lifecycle communications, and cross-functional execution. This person will own the entire brand’s marketing strategy and operating cadence across channels (organic social, email/SMS, web/landing pages, partnerships, and paid media collaborations), ensuring everything ships on time, on-brand, and aligned with business priorities.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled professional who can set strategy, run cross-channel campaigns, manage calendars and partners, and drive measurable growth — while collaborating closely with our Brand & Content Manager (our day-to-day brand owner) and our performance marketing agency partners to ensure output is both high-performing and unmistakably Atlantis.
Reporting: Reports to the CEO
Key partnership: Works closely with Brand & Content Manager to translate brand direction into cohesive marketing across channels; partners with the performance marketing agency to align paid strategy, creative production, landing pages, and measurement.
Key Intent of the Role
- Build a scalable, repeatable marketing operating system that drives bookings, fills events, and grows LTV.
- Own outcomes (bookings, conversion rate, retention, email revenue contribution, and channel health) without degrading premium brand equity.
- Be the “glue” that keeps campaigns cohesive across teams: planning, briefing, shipping, learning, and iteration.
- Give the CEO high-level visibility and confidence (clear strategy, reporting, and decision points) while reducing the need for day-to-day marketing oversight.
What You’ll Own (Core Responsibilities)1) Growth Strategy, Planning & Integrated Campaigns
- Own Atlantis’ marketing strategy across the full funnel: awareness → consideration → conversion → retention → advocacy.
- Build and manage an integrated campaign calendar tied to business priorities (event launches, key booking windows, promotions, onboard announcements, etc.).
- Translate business goals into channel plans, creative briefs, and launch-ready execution across teams and partners.
- Establish a repeatable operating cadence: weekly performance review, monthly planning, quarterly strategic alignment.
2) Paid Media Partnership Management (Agency-Led Execution)
- Serve as the internal owner of the paid media partnership: align goals, budgets, timelines, creative needs, landing page priorities, and measurement with the performance marketing agency.
- Ensure paid campaigns stay aligned with brand guardrails and campaign strategy in partnership with the Brand & Content Manager.
- Lead the internal side of creative inputs and approvals: clear briefs, fast feedback loops, and decision-making to keep shipping velocity high.
- Use performance insights to guide messaging, offers, content priorities, and web/lifecycle improvements (you don’t need to be the hands-on media buyer, but you must be fluent and confident in the work).
3) Organic Social Strategy & Content Leadership
- Own Atlantis’ organic social strategy across platforms (content pillars, cadence, formats, series concepts, community engagement).
- Partner with the Brand & Content Manager to keep voice, visual standards, and storytelling consistent while ensuring content is platform-native and timely.
- Coordinate internal and external creators (video editors, designers, photographers) to keep production moving and quality high.
- Build a feedback loop between organic content performance, guest sentiment, and campaign priorities.
4) Website, Landing Pages & Conversion Rate Optimization
- Own website and landing page performance as a revenue-driving channel, partnering with internal stakeholders and vendors as needed.
- Improve conversion rate via testing and optimization (messaging hierarchy, page structure, friction reduction, trust signals, checkout flow).
- Ensure campaign pages and flows are cohesive with email/SMS and broader campaign messaging.
- Partner with Brand & Content to ensure “performance improvements” don’t cheapen the experience.
5) Lifecycle Marketing (Email/SMS/CRM) & Retention
- Own lifecycle strategy and execution to maximize repeat bookings and long-term loyalty.
- Build/optimize automations and campaigns (welcome, nurture, abandoned checkout, post-trip, winback, VIP/loyalty, referral prompts).
- Improve list growth, segmentation, personalization, and deliverability.
- Ensure Atlantis’ community and story shows up consistently in lifecycle — not just promotions.
6) Messaging, Offers & GTM Execution (With Brand Stewardship)
- Drive offer strategy and packaging in collaboration with CEO/leadership (promos, urgency windows, value framing) and coordinate execution across channels.
- Work with the Brand & Content Manager to ensure messaging remains premium, authentic, and audience-led.
- Own launch playbooks for major moments: event announcements, new itineraries, themed voyages, resort drops, etc.
7) Analytics, Measurement & Reporting
- Own marketing performance reporting and dashboards across the funnel (with inputs from the performance marketing agency as applicable).
- Define and track KPIs: bookings, conversion rate, email revenue contribution, LTV cohorts, retention, creative/content performance, and key web metrics.
- Ensure measurement is “directionally correct” and decision-useful (not vanity metrics).
- Provide clear weekly/monthly summaries to CEO/leadership: what happened, why, and what’s changing next.
8) Team + Partner Management
- Lead cross-functional coordination across internal teams and external agencies/contractors (paid media agency, creative partners, dev/web vendors, photographers, etc.).
- Manage timelines, priorities, and accountability across deliverables to keep launches on track.
- Build a high-velocity marketing machine that ships consistently — without constant escalation or rework.
- As Atlantis grows, help define the org structure and hiring plan (social/content, lifecycle, creative ops, analytics, etc.).
How You’ll Work With the Brand & Content Manager
- The Brand & Content Manager owns brand stewardship, brand guardrails, and brand approvals.
- The Marketing Director owns integrated campaign execution, channel strategy, and the operating system that turns strategy into shipped work.
- You will partner closely to ensure: creative is on-brand and platform-native, marketing stays premium while still effective, and teams move fast within clear guardrails (no brand-by-committee loops).
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
By 30 days
- You understand the funnel end-to-end (traffic → booking), key levers, and biggest constraints.
- Baseline reporting is in place (weekly scorecard + core KPIs) with clear owners for inputs (including the agency where relevant).
- Quick wins are identified and prioritized (highest-impact lifecycle, web/CVR, or campaign execution improvements).
- Campaign operating cadence is established (weekly growth/performance meeting + launch checklist + retro).
By 60 days
- A clear growth and campaign plan is aligned with CEO/leadership and Brand & Content.
- A repeatable campaign system is running (planning → briefs → launches → learnings) across organic, lifecycle, web, and paid collaboration.
- A testing roadmap is active across lifecycle + landing pages + content themes, informed by paid/media learnings.
By 90 days
- Measurable improvement in 2–3 key areas (e.g., CVR lift, email revenue lift, improved launch velocity, stronger content performance/cadence, improved booking efficiency).
- Marketing runs with less chaos: clearer briefs, faster launches, better decision-making.
- Strong collaboration model with Brand & Content Manager and the paid media agency is established and trusted.
Who You Are
- You’re a marketing leader who can scale growth without sacrificing premium brand quality.
- You’re strategic and execution-driven — you can plan the quarter and also ship weekly.
- You’re fluent in paid media and performance thinking, and effective at managing an agency — but you don’t need to be the hands-on media buyer.
- You’re an excellent cross-functional operator: clear briefs, decisive prioritization, strong stakeholder management.
- You can work with a CEO directly: concise, confident, proactive, low-drama, high ownership.
Qualifications
- 7–12+ years in integrated marketing, growth, lifecycle, or brand-adjacent performance roles (flexible based on strength).
- Experience leading cross-channel marketing programs and shipping campaigns on real timelines.
- Strong track record in lifecycle/CRM (email/SMS strategy, segmentation, automations, deliverability, performance).
- Experience managing agencies/partners and driving outcomes through clear direction, briefs, and accountability.
- Strong copy/messaging instincts and comfort partnering with brand to maintain tone and quality.
- Comfortable using data to drive decisions (conversion metrics, content performance, funnel reporting, cohort thinking).
Nice to Have
- Experience in travel, hospitality, cruises, events, or premium lifestyle brands.
- Experience marketing to community-driven audiences (membership, loyalty, repeat purchase behaviors).
- YouTube/short-form content experience, including content systems and creative operations.
- Familiarity with partner marketing and affiliate/referral growth loops.
- Experience scaling a team/org from “scrappy” to “repeatable machine.”

VP Marketing Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a vp marketing in Florida?
Becoming a vp marketing in Florida does not require a state-issued license or certification, but employers consistently look for a bachelor's degree in marketing or business followed by a master's degree for more competitive roles. The typical path runs through individual contributor and manager roles in Florida's dominant industries, including hospitality, healthcare, and financial services, building toward director-level positions before a VP appointment. A strong portfolio of campaign results and P&L ownership experience accelerates hiring decisions significantly.
How much do VP marketings make in Florida?
VP marketings in Florida earn a median of about $142,620 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $78,250 for the lowest 10% to over $261,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire vp marketings in Florida?
Employers hiring vp marketings in Florida right now include Lucky Strike Entertainment, BNY, and Pall, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of global hospitality brands, regional healthcare systems, and fast-growing fintech and real estate companies means VP-level marketing demand stays consistent throughout the year across the state.
Which Florida cities have the most vp marketing jobs?
The Florida cities with the most vp marketing openings are Miami, Jacksonville, and Fort Lauderdale. Miami drives volume through its concentration of multinational brands, luxury hospitality, and Latin American market-facing companies, while Tampa's growing tech and financial services sector produces steady VP-level demand, and Orlando's tourism, healthcare, and entertainment industries anchor hiring in the central part of the state.
Are there remote vp marketing jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than many senior leadership roles, because vp marketing work centers on strategy, analytics, and stakeholder communication that translates well to remote settings. About 88% of vp marketing openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how digital transformation has shifted marketing leadership away from purely in-office models. Brand strategy, digital campaign oversight, and agency management tend to be the most remote-compatible parts of the role.
How can I get hired as a vp marketing in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a VP role from a senior marketing manager or director position, not from an early-career role directly. Large Florida employers like AdventHealth, Carnival Corporation, and regional financial institutions regularly promote from within, so joining at a senior manager level and building visibility through measurable campaign results is the clearest route. Earning a Google Marketing certification or an MBA from a Florida university adds credential weight that resonates with local hiring committees.
Where can I find and apply to vp marketing jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to vp marketing jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your industry background and seniority level, then apply directly to the ones that fit your experience and goals.
