Take a step forward in your career and join the Planning & Analysis (P&A) Group! This group is responsible for partnering within the business and across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, central oversight and coordination of firmwide budgeting and forecasting, and strategic program management and execution. Additionally, the P&A Group helps drive and improve automation, simplification of processes and the enhancement of analytics.
These roles primarily support the strategic analysis of our financial planning framework, in addition to partnering closely with LOB business teams and functions for core financial reporting, process improvement, ad-hoc analysis and due diligence.
As the Head of Planning and Analysis for Business Banking, you will be supporting the CFO with financial planning, reporting, and strategic analysis, while leading initiatives for business performance reviews, budgeting, and capital stress testing. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in finance or management consulting, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in data analytics tools, with a focus on driving change and developing top talent.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analysis of business performance, including development and leadership of senior monthly business reviews with the BB CEO and CFO and quarterly with the CCB CEO and CFO
- Lead the planning cycle, including annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and analysis of variances to the plan, and capital stress testing
- Drive change, efficiencies and process improvement to the P&A and Business Banking Finance & Business Management functions
- Ad hoc analysis of the business and business drivers. Identify opportunities for business improvement and recommend actions across the business
- Analytical support for business strategy, including ownership of strategic deliverables and storytelling to senior audiences and external stakeholders
- Work closely with the other CCB LOB P&A teams and the CCB P&A team
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy and timeliness in all financial reporting
- Recruit, develop and manage top talent
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Strong team leader and change agent; passionate about developing the Planning & Analysis function of the future, drive transformation and innovation by deploying automation and AI. Expected to leverage AI, automation, and agent-based services to materially reduce operational complexity, improve speed and accuracy, and create capacity for team to focus on higher-value work
- 10+ years of experience in a medium to large diverse organization in Finance/Accounting and or management consulting
- Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
- Experience in planning, forecasting, budgeting
- Ability to work across senior levels of the organization, including the CEO of Business Banking, in a leadership role and drive change
- Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based, has the courage to ask the tough questions and challenge the status quo and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong quantitative, critical thinking and analytic skills, excellent quantitative and analytical problem solving skills, confidence with finance and accounting concepts, understanding of financial statements, has the ability to comprehend and clearly and communicate complex concepts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and provide strong documentation
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to synthesize financial information into concise, insightful and actionable recommendations comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management
- Exceptional attention to detail related to providing accurate and timely data
- Manage a team of analytical-minded individuals and identify opportunities to automate and identify efficiencies and process enhancements
