Job Summary:
The Integrated Campaign Manager is a hands-on campaign execution manager within NRG’s Lifecycle Communications team. This individual is the operational engine behind integrated, omnichannel lifecycle campaigns, translating strategy into fully built, audience-targeted, and analytically measured campaigns across email, SMS, in-app, and direct mail channels. Working across NRG’s portfolio of energy brands (Reliant, Direct Energy, Green Mountain Energy, and others), the Integrated Campaign Manager collaborates closely with Go-To-Market, CX, and product teams, and brings together data, creative, and technology to drive customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Campaign Planning & End-to-End Execution:
- Own the build, QA, and launch of omnichannel lifecycle campaigns including onboarding, renewal, retention, move/transfer, and crisis communications sequences.
- Translate campaign briefs and strategic frameworks into fully configured journeys and campaigns.
- Develop and manage campaign timelines and delivery schedules, ensuring on-time execution across all active workstreams.
- Coordinate creative, copy, and legal review of workflows, ensuring all campaign assets are accurate, brand-compliant, and ready for deployment.
Cross-Channel Integration & Journey Orchestration:
- Drive seamless integration of email, SMS, in-app, direct mail, and outbound channels within unified customer journeys, ensuring a cohesive experience across every touchpoint.
- Build and manage multi-step, trigger-based campaign sequences that reflect the customer's lifecycle, from onboarding through renewal and churn prevention.
- Partner with the Lifecycle team, Retention team and channel owners to identify the optimal channel mix for each campaign objective for maximum impact.
- Support crisis communications execution (severe weather, outages) with rapid campaign builds and real-time deployment within established marketing workflows.
Campaign Analysis, Testing & Optimization:
- Monitor campaign performance across key metrics (open rate, click rate, conversion, churn impact, revenue influence) and deliver regular reporting with actionable insights.
- Design and execute creative tests to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and inform future planning cycles.
- Partner with analytics and data teams to validate audience lists, track behavioral signals, and ensure measurement frameworks are in place before launching.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Go-To-Market, Customer Experience, Legal, and Product teams to align campaign messaging, offers, and timing with broader business objectives.
- Coordinate with creative and content partners to ensure assets are delivered on brief and on schedule.
- Maintain clear project documentation, campaign logs, and status updates to keep stakeholders aligned across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in marketing, campaign management, project management, brand management or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
- Experience with customer lifecycle strategies including onboarding, renewals, retention, and churn prevention programs.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously without losing quality or accuracy.
- Proven track record of building and launching end-to-end omnichannel campaigns, including audience segmentation, trigger logic, and performance measurement.
Preferred:
- Experience in Adobe Workfront.
- Energy industry or consumer products experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in crisis or issue management strongly preferred.
- Highly collaborative and comfortable working across teams and building relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail in campaign configuration, QA, and content review.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate campaign plans and performance outcomes to cross-functional partners.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and drive work forward with minimal direction.
