Clinical Coordinator Jobs in Hawaii: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical coordinator in Hawaii?
Most clinical coordinator roles in Hawaii require an active Registered Nurse license issued by the Hawaii State Board of Nursing, which oversees RN licensure and endorsement in the state. Candidates typically hold a bachelor's degree in nursing or health administration. From there, gaining experience in a direct patient care or care management role at a Hawaii health system is the most common path before moving into a coordinator position.
Which companies hire clinical coordinators in Hawaii?
Hawaii clinical coordinator roles are posted by University of Hawaii system, V2X, and YWCA and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring is strongest at Hawaii's integrated health systems, which operate hospitals, outpatient clinics, and community health centers across Oahu and the neighbor islands.
Which Hawaii cities have the most clinical coordinator jobs?
Honolulu, Hilo, and Kailua account for the largest share of clinical coordinator openings in Hawaii. Honolulu dominates because it is home to the state's major hospital networks and specialty care centers, while Hilo and Kailua-Kona reflect the growing clinical infrastructure on Hawaii Island, where large systems have expanded outpatient and long-term care services to serve rural and remote communities.
Are there remote clinical coordinator jobs in Hawaii?
Yes, but they're rare. About 22% of clinical coordinator openings tied to Hawaii are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, which reflects how hands-on this role typically is. The functions most often performed remotely are utilization review, telephonic care management, and insurance authorization, while on-site coordination of patient care and multidisciplinary rounds remains largely in person.
How can I get hired as a clinical coordinator in Hawaii with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing an RN position within a Hawaii health system and then transitioning internally into care coordination. The Queen's Health Systems and Hawaii Pacific Health both offer new-graduate nursing residency programs that rotate through care coordination units, giving new nurses structured exposure to the role. Lateral moves from case management assistant, medical assistant, or patient navigator positions also open doors, and earning a Certified Case Manager credential strengthens any application without prior coordinator experience.
Where can I find and apply to clinical coordinator jobs in Hawaii?
You can find and apply to clinical coordinator jobs in Hawaii on Migrate Mate, which lists current Hawaii openings from employers across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and specialty, and apply directly to each position that fits.
