Shouldice Industrial Manufacturers and Contractors, Inc. is looking for an experienced HVAC Project Manager who is ready to take the lead on commercial and industrial projects and make a real impact.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As our HVAC Project Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the successful execution of commercial and industrial HVAC projects.

Lead the Projects

• Manage HVAC construction projects from preconstruction and kickoff through completion and closeout.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, manpower planning, material procurement, and coordination.
• Work directly with customers, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and field supervisors.
• Keep multiple projects moving efficiently without sacrificing safety, quality, or profitability.

Own the Financials

• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost projections.
• Monitor labor productivity, material costs, committed costs, billing, and job profitability.
• Identify potential cost overruns early and develop solutions.
• Manage change orders and ensure additional work is properly documented and compensated.
• Participate in work-in-progress reviews and project financial reporting.

Support the Field

• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Work closely with foremen and field supervision to keep projects moving.
• Make sure crews have the information and resources they need to succeed.
• Visit jobsites regularly and address challenges before they affect project performance.

Keep Everything on Track

• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contracts.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, startup, commissioning, and final closeout.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and project partners.
• Support estimating and preconstruction activities as needed.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT?

We're looking for someone with real-world commercial or industrial HVAC construction experience, strong project management abilities, and the confidence to lead projects from start to finish.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

• Experience managing commercial or industrial HVAC construction projects.
• A solid understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, installation practices, and construction sequencing.
• Strong knowledge of project budgeting, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and cost control.
• The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience coordinating field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and customer expectations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• An understanding of job profitability and the financial responsibilities that come with managing construction projects.
• The ability to independently manage multiple projects while working with a larger team.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to visit project sites as needed.
• Be able to pass a background check.

Additional Experience We'd Love to See:

• Rooftop units, air-handling units, chillers, boilers, and cooling towers.
• Hydronic heating and cooling systems.
• Commercial ductwork and ventilation systems.
• Mechanical and process piping.
• Pumps, building controls, and related mechanical systems.
• Manufacturing, industrial, institutional, municipal, or other complex commercial facilities.
• Union construction environments.
• Construction estimating, project management, and job-cost software.
