Verify your therapy license transfers across states
BAYADA operates in dozens of states, and each has its own therapy licensure requirements. Before applying, confirm your state license is active and check whether reciprocity or endorsement applies to the location where the role is posted.
Target roles with confirmed H-1B eligibility
Therapist roles qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS guidelines when they require a specific clinical degree. Use Migrate Mate to filter BAYADA job listings by visa type so you apply only to positions with documented sponsorship history for your category.
Align your clinical credentials with CMS requirements
BAYADA serves Medicare and Medicaid patients, so roles must meet Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services staffing standards. Foreign-trained therapists should obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-recognized body before outreach, as BAYADA will need this for both hiring and USCIS filings.
Ask recruiters about OPT and CPT timelines early
BAYADA sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, but home health scheduling cycles run on tight timelines. Raise your OPT expiration date and any gap between authorization end and H-1B cap-subject start during your first recruiter conversation, not after an offer is extended.
Understand how TN status applies to therapy roles
Canadian and Mexican physical therapists can enter under TN status without a cap or lottery. Confirm the specific job title on your BAYADA offer letter matches DOL-recognized TN occupational categories exactly, since a mismatch at the border can result in denial.
Prepare for a multi-site offer structure at BAYADA
BAYADA assigns therapists to patient caseloads across multiple home addresses, which affects how your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL. Clarify the primary worksite location before your offer is finalized to avoid LCA amendment delays later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does BAYADA Home Health Care sponsor H-1B visas for Therapists?
Yes, BAYADA Home Health Care does sponsor H-1B visas for Therapist roles. Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria because the positions require a specific clinical degree. Sponsorship availability can vary by location and role type, so confirm directly with the recruiter when you apply.
Which visa types are commonly used for Therapist roles at BAYADA Home Health Care?
H-1B is the most common visa category for Therapist roles at BAYADA. The company also sponsors F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for students and recent graduates in clinical programs. Canadian and Mexican therapists may qualify for TN visa status, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and current immigration status.
What qualifications or experience does BAYADA Home Health Care expect from Therapist candidates?
BAYADA expects candidates to hold a degree in their therapy discipline from an accredited program and to carry an active state license in the state where the role is located. For home health specifically, prior clinical experience in patient-facing settings is strongly preferred. Foreign-trained therapists typically need a credential evaluation from a NACES-recognized agency to confirm degree equivalency.
How do I apply for Therapist jobs at BAYADA Home Health Care?
Browse open Therapist positions at BAYADA on Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles that match your H-1B, OPT, or TN status before applying. When you apply, confirm the specific worksite state with the recruiter, since BAYADA operates across many states and licensure requirements differ by location.
How do I manage timing between OPT expiration and H-1B approval at BAYADA?
If BAYADA files an H-1B petition on your behalf before your OPT expires and you receive a receipt notice, you may be eligible for a cap-gap extension that bridges your authorization through September 30. Raise your OPT end date with BAYADA's HR team as early as possible in the process, since USCIS requires the petition to be filed during the regular April filing window.
