Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Cloud Software Engineer Jobs at Chewy Jobs
Align your cloud certifications with Chewy's stack
Chewy runs large-scale retail infrastructure on AWS. AWS certifications like Solutions Architect or Developer signal direct relevance to their engineering teams and strengthen your petition's specialty occupation case with USCIS.
Target roles tied to Chewy's fulfillment technology
Cloud Software Engineer openings connected to order management, inventory systems, or fulfillment automation tend to have clearer degree-to-role alignment, which makes the specialty occupation determination smoother during H-1B filing.
Browse Chewy's open Cloud Engineer roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type to surface the Cloud Software Engineer positions at Chewy that are actively open to sponsored candidates. This saves time you'd otherwise spend screening roles that don't fit your authorization status.
Confirm employer-of-record structure before accepting offers
Some Chewy Cloud Software Engineer roles are filled through staffing arrangements. For H-1B purposes, the petitioner must be your actual employer of record. Clarify this during the offer stage so the correct entity files with USCIS.
Request a DOL prevailing wage determination before negotiating
Chewy's LCA must certify a wage at or above the DOL prevailing wage for your location and job level. Knowing the wage tier for Cloud Software Engineer roles in their posted locations helps you negotiate from an informed baseline.

Find Cloud Software Engineer at Chewy JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Chewy sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Software Engineers?
Yes, Chewy sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Software Engineers. The company has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions for technical roles in this function. To be petitioned, you'll need a qualifying job offer, a relevant bachelor's degree or higher, and a role that meets USCIS's specialty occupation criteria, which cloud engineering roles at Chewy generally satisfy.
Which visa types does Chewy commonly use for Cloud Software Engineers?
Chewy sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for Cloud Software Engineers, along with Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM-based sponsorship for longer-tenured employees. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported, making Chewy a viable option for recent graduates working toward H-1B eligibility. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles.
How do I apply for Cloud Software Engineer jobs at Chewy?
You can find and filter Cloud Software Engineer openings at Chewy by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles open to sponsored candidates. Once you identify a relevant role, apply directly through Chewy's careers portal. Tailor your application to highlight cloud infrastructure experience, particularly with AWS, and be upfront about your visa status early in the recruiter screening process.
What qualifications does Chewy expect for Cloud Software Engineer roles?
Chewy typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is strongly preferred given their infrastructure stack. Skills in containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems are commonly listed in job postings. For H-1B purposes, your degree field should align directly with the role's technical scope.
How do I time my H-1B filing if I'm starting at Chewy on OPT?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, you need to be selected in the lottery and have your petition filed before your OPT expires to maintain cap-gap protection. Coordinate your Chewy offer acceptance and start date around this window, and confirm with your employer's immigration counsel that the petition will be submitted within the required timeline.
