Align your portfolio to client delivery contexts
Deloitte's Product Software Engineers build tools for external clients, not just internal systems. Frame past projects around delivery timelines, stakeholder requirements, and measurable outcomes to match the consulting-first lens their interviewers apply.
Verify your degree field supports specialty occupation classification
USCIS requires a direct relationship between your degree and the role. For Product Software Engineer positions, a degree in computer science, software engineering, or information systems strengthens your petition. An unrelated degree, even with experience, creates unnecessary risk.
Search open roles filtered by sponsorship eligibility
Use Migrate Mate to filter Product Software Engineer openings at Deloitte by visa type, so you're only applying to positions where your specific sponsorship need is already confirmed rather than asking HR to assess it mid-process.
Clarify whether the role is client-site or internal before the offer stage
Deloitte's consulting structure means your work location may shift between client sites. This affects your Labor Condition Application, which requires DOL certification tied to specific worksite locations. Confirm placement expectations before your petition is filed.
Understand E-3 processing timelines if you hold Australian citizenship
Australian citizens can apply for an E-3 visa at a U.S. consulate without waiting for an H-1B lottery cycle. Consular appointments in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth currently range from a few days to several weeks, making this a faster path if you qualify.
Request PERM sponsorship clarity during offer negotiation
Deloitte sponsors Green Cards for qualifying employees, but PERM labor certification timelines are long and tied to your priority date and country of birth. Ask your recruiter directly which business unit and tenure milestone typically triggers the sponsorship commitment.

Find Product Software Engineer at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Product Software Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Product Software Engineers and is one of the more active H-1B filers in the consulting and professional services sector. Sponsorship is typically confirmed during the offer stage. Because H-1B selection depends on the annual lottery, timing your application cycle and confirming your employer's filing deadline early in the process is important.
How do I apply for Product Software Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where roles are listed by service line and location. To find positions that confirm visa sponsorship upfront, browse Product Software Engineer openings at Deloitte on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by sponsorship type so you can target listings aligned to your visa situation before submitting an application.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Product Software Engineer roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 visas for Product Software Engineers, along with E-3 visas for Australian citizens. For longer-term immigration, Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card pathways. The right visa depends on your citizenship, degree, and how long you've been with the company.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Product Software Engineer roles?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, along with hands-on experience in full-stack or product development. Consulting-specific experience isn't required, but demonstrated ability to work across product lifecycles, communicate with non-technical stakeholders, and deliver in agile environments strengthens your profile significantly.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after receiving a Deloitte offer?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start, so offers made outside that window may require a cap-exempt strategy or a different visa path. E-3 consular processing can move faster, often within four to eight weeks. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, if offered, can take several years depending on your country of birth and current USCIS and DOL backlogs.
