The selected candidate must be prepared to teach face-to-face and online courses, as needed by the department. Some courses taught may be offered in the evenings, off-site, and/or online. Summer teaching is voluntary and compensated separately. This position does not carry any expectations for a research program or publications. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Required Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of MS degree in Biology or related biological field.
- Evidence of teaching experience and interest (including biology labs) at the university level.
- Demonstrated success working with faculty and student populations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Basic Qualifications:
- PhD degree strongly preferred (ABD candidates may apply, but will not be given preference).
- Strong background in a field of biology that complements existing faculty expertise, especially experience in and ability to teach in at least two of these areas: genetics, physiology, plant sciences, or evolution.
- Experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.
