Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Therapist Jobs at LifeStance Health Jobs
Verify your licensure transfers across states
LifeStance operates clinics in dozens of states, so confirm your therapy license is valid or transferable in your target location before applying. Interstate compact membership and endorsement timelines vary and can affect your start date.
Target locations with active telehealth openings
LifeStance frequently posts telehealth therapist roles alongside in-person positions. Remote roles still require state licensure but can expand your options if sponsorship-willing hiring managers are concentrated in a specific regional cluster.
Distinguish EB-2 from EB-3 before your offer conversation
LifeStance sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 for therapists. A master's degree typically supports EB-2 eligibility, while a bachelor's with supervised hours may route you to EB-3. Know which category fits your credentials so you can discuss PERM filing timelines confidently.
Clarify TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status covers psychologists and certain counselors but does not cover all licensed therapist titles. Confirm with your hiring contact that your specific role and license type qualifies under the TN occupational category before declining other sponsorship pathways.
Ask about OPT bridging before your authorization expires
If you're on F-1 OPT and interviewing at LifeStance, ask HR directly whether they can initiate PERM or an EB petition before your authorized period ends. USCIS processing timelines mean you need at least several months of remaining work authorization to bridge cleanly.
Use Migrate Mate to filter LifeStance openings by visa type
Finding sponsored therapist roles at LifeStance across dozens of state markets is time-consuming manually. Use Migrate Mate to filter open positions by sponsorship type so you can prioritize applications in locations where EB-2, EB-3, or TN sponsorship is confirmed.

Find Therapist at LifeStance Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does LifeStance Health sponsor H-1B visas for Therapists?
LifeStance Health's confirmed sponsorship activity for therapist roles centers on employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, as well as F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN. H-1B sponsorship for therapists is less commonly documented for this employer, so you should ask HR directly about H-1B eligibility during your offer stage.
How do I apply for Therapist jobs at LifeStance Health?
You can search for open therapist positions directly on the LifeStance Health careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify locations where sponsorship is supported. When applying, have your state licensure documentation, clinical supervision hours, and any active work authorization records ready, as these are typically requested early in the screening process.
Which visa types does LifeStance Health commonly use for Therapist roles?
LifeStance Health supports several pathways for therapist candidates, including F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates from accredited clinical programs, TN status for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying counseling or psychology roles, and employer-sponsored Green Cards under the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories for longer-term employment authorization.
What qualifications does LifeStance Health expect for sponsored Therapist positions?
LifeStance typically requires a master's degree or higher in a clinical mental health field, such as counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy, along with an active state license to practice independently. Candidates in post-graduate supervised hours may be considered for associate-level roles, but full licensure is generally required to qualify for employer-sponsored immigration filings.
How do I think about timing when pursuing sponsorship as a Therapist at LifeStance Health?
PERM labor certification, required for EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, takes several months through DOL before USCIS can adjudicate the immigrant petition. If you're on a time-limited status like F-1 OPT, align your application timeline so your employer can initiate the PERM process well before your authorized period ends. Confirm start dates and filing intentions during the offer stage, not after accepting.
