Frame your leadership credentials around hardware-adjacent software
Molex operates in electronic components manufacturing, not pure software. Tailor your resume to show experience managing teams that build firmware, embedded systems, or industrial software. Generic SWE management experience is less compelling than domain-relevant leadership.
Confirm the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B roles to meet the specialty occupation standard. For Software Engineering Manager positions, your offer letter and job description must tie the role to a specific degree field. Vague titles like 'engineering lead' can trigger RFEs, so ask the recruiter how the role is classified.
Target Molex business units with active product roadmaps
Molex operates multiple divisions across data solutions, transportation, and industrial segments. Roles tied to divisions with active product development cycles are more likely to have headcount approved for sponsorship. Research which divisions are publicly hiring before applying.
Time your application around the H-1B cap registration window
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS opens registration in March each year for an October 1 start date. Confirm your offer timeline with Molex's HR team early so the I-129 petition can be filed without missing the cap registration deadline.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Software Engineering Manager roles at Molex
Search Migrate Mate to browse verified Software Engineering Manager openings at Molex filtered by visa type. This saves time verifying sponsorship eligibility upfront rather than discovering limitations late in the interview process.
Prepare your PERM documentation early if targeting permanent residency
EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship requires DOL PERM labor certification, which can take a year or more before USCIS even receives the petition. If Molex offers to start the green card process alongside your H-1B, engage immediately rather than waiting until your third year of status.

Find Software Engineering Manager at Molex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineering Managers?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineering Manager roles. The company has an established track record of filing work visa petitions for engineering and technical leadership positions. If you're cap-subject, you'll need to align your offer timeline with the USCIS H-1B registration window, which opens each March for an October 1 start date.
Which visa types does Molex commonly sponsor for Software Engineering Manager roles?
Molex sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Software Engineering Managers. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT transitions for recent graduates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations, and J-1 for certain exchange arrangements. For longer-term employment, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through DOL PERM labor certification is available.
How do I apply for Software Engineering Manager jobs at Molex?
You can browse verified Software Engineering Manager openings at Molex on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Molex also posts directly on its careers site. Tailor your application to highlight team leadership experience in hardware-adjacent or manufacturing software environments, as Molex's divisions span connectivity and electronic components rather than pure enterprise software.
What qualifications and experience does Molex expect for Software Engineering Manager roles?
Molex typically expects a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field, along with several years of hands-on software engineering experience before moving into management. Experience leading teams building embedded systems, firmware, or industrial software is a stronger fit than general web or app development backgrounds, given Molex's manufacturing and electronic components focus.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Software Engineering Manager at Molex?
For H-1B sponsorship, count on roughly six to twelve months from offer to start date if you're cap-subject, accounting for the March USCIS registration window and October 1 start date. F-1 OPT transitions are faster, often thirty to ninety days. EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through DOL PERM runs considerably longer, frequently two to three years or more depending on your country of birth and current priority date backlogs.
