Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Clinical Nurse Jobs at MultiCare Health System Jobs
Verify Your NCLEX and State Licensure Early
Washington State requires RN licensure before most Clinical Nurse roles can begin. Start your NCLEX-RN application and credential evaluation through CGFNS well ahead of any offer, since delays here stall the entire sponsorship timeline.
Target MultiCare Units With Chronic Staffing Needs
Acute care, critical care, and med-surg units at MultiCare consistently post Clinical Nurse openings. Applying directly to high-need departments improves your chances of finding a hiring manager willing to move forward with sponsorship paperwork.
Ask Recruiters About Their Sponsorship Process Directly
MultiCare's recruiters handle sponsorship decisions internally rather than routing everything through a third-party agency. In your first screening call, ask specifically whether the role supports H-1B or permanent residence sponsorship to avoid advancing in a process that won't support your situation.
Understand the EB-3 PERM Timeline for Nursing
If you're pursuing a Green Card through MultiCare, the EB-3 pathway requires a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS can process your petition. That process alone takes several months, so factor this into your planning before accepting an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Clinical Nurse Roles
Filtering for visa-sponsoring healthcare employers saves time when you're targeting specific companies. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified Clinical Nurse openings at MultiCare and surface roles that align with your specialty and sponsorship needs.
Align Your Clinical Specialization With Posted Job Requirements
MultiCare posts Clinical Nurse roles tied to specific units, and H-1B specialty occupation approval depends partly on the role matching a defined nursing specialty. Applying to positions that match your training and clinical background strengthens both your hire and your visa petition.

Find Clinical Nurse at MultiCare Health System JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does MultiCare Health System sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Nurses?
Yes, MultiCare Health System does sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Nurse roles. Nursing qualifies as a specialty occupation when the position requires at least a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. If you hold an associate degree, MultiCare may still proceed depending on the role, but the sponsorship case is stronger with a BSN and relevant clinical experience.
Which visa types are commonly used for Clinical Nurse roles at MultiCare Health System?
MultiCare sponsors several visa categories for Clinical Nurses. The H-1B is common for direct hires from F-1 OPT or TN status. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nurses under USMCA. For long-term candidates, MultiCare supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification filed with the DOL. J-1 and F-1 CPT are also supported in certain clinical training contexts.
How do I apply for Clinical Nurse jobs at MultiCare Health System?
Applications go through MultiCare's careers portal, where roles are posted by department and facility. You can also find verified Clinical Nurse openings at MultiCare through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers. When applying, tailor your resume to the unit specialty listed in the job description and be explicit about your visa status so recruiters can assess sponsorship fit from the start.
What qualifications does MultiCare Health System expect for Clinical Nurse candidates?
Most Clinical Nurse roles at MultiCare require an active Washington State RN license or eligibility for licensure, a BSN or higher, and at least one year of relevant acute care experience depending on the unit. Specialty units such as ICU, oncology, or labor and delivery typically expect prior experience in that specific setting. For internationally trained nurses, a credential evaluation through CGFNS is standard before licensure can be issued.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Clinical Nurses at MultiCare?
Timeline depends on your current visa status and the pathway MultiCare pursues. An H-1B transfer or change of status typically takes two to four months with standard USCIS processing, or faster with premium processing. A Green Card through EB-3 is longer, often one to three years when including PERM certification, the I-140 petition, and visa availability. Securing your Washington RN license before receiving an offer shortens the overall timeline considerably.
