Align your credentials to Sundt's project types
Sundt builds across federal, industrial, and heavy civil sectors. Frame your resume and portfolio around program-level delivery in those verticals, since hiring managers are screening for direct sector relevance, not just general construction management experience.
Confirm your degree supports specialty occupation status
H-1B eligibility for Project Program Managers requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like construction management, civil engineering, or architecture. A general business or unrelated degree can trigger USCIS scrutiny, so gather official transcripts and a credential evaluation before applying.
Search open roles on Migrate Mate to target active listings
Sundt posts Project Program Manager openings across multiple regions and project types. Use Migrate Mate to filter for roles that explicitly support visa sponsorship, so you're applying only where sponsorship is actively on the table.
Raise sponsorship early in your recruiter conversation
Sundt's talent acquisition team handles sponsorship through a defined internal process. Disclosing your visa status before the first interview prevents late-stage complications and signals that you understand how construction firms manage immigration timelines alongside project staffing needs.
Sequence your start date around LCA certification timelines
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. Standard H-1B processing runs three to five months without premium processing, so negotiate your start date with at least that buffer built in from the offer date.
Obtain relevant certifications before your interview
A PMP certification or equivalent credential materially strengthens your application for a program management role in construction. Sundt's project delivery model requires structured program controls, and credentialed candidates are better positioned to clear both the hiring and USCIS specialty occupation reviews.

Find Project Program Manager at Sundt Construction JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sundt Construction sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Sundt Construction sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The company has an active sponsorship track record for this function, and the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines given its requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in construction management, civil engineering, or a closely related field.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Sundt Construction?
Apply directly through Sundt Construction's careers page or use Migrate Mate to browse their currently open Project Program Manager listings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, be explicit about your visa status in your cover materials and be prepared to discuss sponsorship requirements during the initial recruiter screen, since Sundt processes sponsorship through a structured internal workflow.
Which visa types does Sundt Construction commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
Sundt sponsors H-1B visas for full-time Project Program Manager positions, which is the primary pathway for international professionals in this role. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in qualifying construction or engineering programs, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories, and J-1 visas for exchange-based placements.
What qualifications does Sundt Construction expect for Project Program Manager candidates?
Sundt typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or architecture, combined with demonstrated experience managing multi-project programs in sectors like federal, industrial, or heavy civil construction. A PMP certification strengthens your profile. For H-1B sponsorship, your degree must align with the specific duties of the role to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How do I manage the timing between a job offer at Sundt and my visa filing deadline?
Once Sundt extends an offer, the sponsorship process starts with a DOL Labor Condition Application, which typically takes seven to ten business days to certify. The H-1B petition then goes to USCIS, where standard processing runs three to five months. If you're on OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date before accepting the offer and discuss whether Sundt will file for a cap-gap extension or use premium processing to bridge the gap.
