Tailor your resume to rental industry metrics
United Rentals evaluates Sales Operations candidates on pipeline management, fleet utilization analysis, and branch-level revenue support. Frame your experience around those outputs, not generic CRM administration, so your background maps directly to their business model.
Identify branch versus corporate Sales Operations openings
United Rentals posts Sales Operations roles at both regional branches and its national service centers. Branch-level roles often involve hands-on coordination with field sales teams, while corporate roles skew toward reporting and systems. Knowing which track fits your background helps you apply to the right requisitions.
Confirm sponsorship intent before your final interview round
Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific role is approved for visa sponsorship before you reach the offer stage. Sponsorship decisions at large equipment rental companies can vary by business unit, and confirming early prevents a last-minute mismatch.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Sales Operations roles
Search Migrate Mate to surface United Rentals Sales Operations positions verified for visa sponsorship. Filtering by visa type upfront saves time you'd otherwise spend applying to roles where sponsorship was never on the table.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
If your Sales Operations background includes a three-year degree or coursework from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before you receive an offer. USCIS requires this documentation for H-1B specialty occupation filings, and delays can push timelines past employer deadlines.
Understand how LCA filing affects your start date
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. DOL certification typically takes seven business days, but it must happen before any USCIS filing. Build that window into your negotiated start date when you receive an offer.

Find Sales Operations at United Rentals JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does United Rentals sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Operations?
Yes, United Rentals sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Operations roles. The company has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for this function. That said, sponsorship availability can vary by specific role and business unit, so confirm directly with your recruiter whether the position you're applying to is approved for H-1B sponsorship before you reach the offer stage.
Which visa types does United Rentals commonly use for Sales Operations roles?
United Rentals sponsors several visa types for Sales Operations, including H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates in an active degree program or post-graduation work period. For longer-term sponsorship, the company also supports employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right visa depends on your nationality, education, and where you are in the job search process.
What qualifications and experience does United Rentals expect for Sales Operations roles?
United Rentals looks for candidates with experience in sales analytics, CRM platforms, pricing analysis, or revenue operations, ideally in a B2B or industrial services environment. Familiarity with equipment rental workflows, fleet data, or branch-level sales support is a genuine differentiator. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is the standard baseline for H-1B specialty occupation eligibility.
How do I apply for Sales Operations jobs at United Rentals?
You can find and apply for Sales Operations roles at United Rentals directly through their careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight sales process support, data analysis, and any experience working with field sales teams in industrial or equipment-based industries.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing H-1B sponsorship at United Rentals?
The H-1B cap lottery opens each March for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer from United Rentals outside that window and aren't already in H-1B status, you may need to bridge on OPT or another status until the next cap season. For TN or cap-exempt situations, processing can move faster. Align your offer negotiation timeline with USCIS filing windows to avoid gaps in work authorization.
