Align your degree to ZS's specialty occupation standard
ZS files H-1B petitions under specialty occupation, which requires a directly related degree. For Project Analyst roles, degrees in statistics, engineering, computer science, or business analytics map most cleanly. A general business degree alone may complicate the petition.
Target ZS's campus recruiting cycle early
ZS hires most Project Analysts through structured campus pipelines at target schools, with offers often issued before OPT start dates. Engaging their campus recruiters in the fall semester gives you the lead time needed to align your CPT or OPT authorization with their onboarding calendar.
Clarify CPT eligibility before accepting a ZS internship offer
ZS regularly brings on Project Analyst interns through CPT. Confirm with your DSO that your program qualifies before you accept, since full-time CPT exceeding 12 months reduces OPT eligibility, which directly affects your H-1B cap-gap runway after graduation.
Understand ZS's H-1B filing window relative to your OPT end date
ZS typically files H-1B petitions in the April lottery for October 1 start dates. If your OPT expires before October 1, the 60-day cap-gap grace period under USCIS rules may not fully cover you. Map your OPT end date against this timeline before signing an offer.
Ask explicitly about TN if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
ZS sponsors TN visas for qualifying roles. Project Analyst positions can support a TN classification under Management Consultant or similar USMCA categories if your duties and degree align. Raise this with the ZS HR team directly, since TN doesn't require lottery participation and can be processed faster than H-1B.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Project Analyst roles by visa type
Sponsorship availability varies by office location and hiring cycle. Use Migrate Mate to filter ZS's current Project Analyst openings by the visa types you need, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is confirmed rather than assumed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does ZS sponsor H-1B visas for Project Analysts?
Yes, ZS sponsors H-1B visas for Project Analyst roles. The position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, typically requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as statistics, engineering, or business analytics. ZS participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery, so timing your offer and start date around the April filing window matters for candidates on expiring OPT.
How do I apply for Project Analyst jobs at ZS?
ZS posts Project Analyst openings through its careers portal and actively recruits through campus programs at target universities. Applications typically involve a resume screen, a quantitative or case-based assessment, and multiple interview rounds. You can also browse verified Project Analyst openings at ZS that confirm visa sponsorship directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by the specific visa types you hold.
Which visa types does ZS commonly use for Project Analyst roles?
ZS sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Project Analyst positions. F-1 CPT and OPT are common entry points for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship following for longer-term employment. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for a TN visa under USMCA, which bypasses the H-1B lottery and can be a faster path to authorization.
What qualifications does ZS expect for Project Analyst candidates?
ZS Project Analyst roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field, strong proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python, and demonstrated problem-solving ability in case-style assessments. Consulting internship experience or prior exposure to pharma, healthcare, or technology clients strengthens your application. Your degree field also directly affects H-1B specialty occupation eligibility, so alignment matters beyond just hiring.
How do I time my application around ZS's sponsorship and visa filing process?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, ZS must file your petition in April for an October 1 start date under USCIS's annual cap. That means your offer should ideally be in place by late winter or early spring. For F-1 students, confirm your OPT authorization timeline with your DSO well before your expected start date, and account for the 60-day grace period if there's any gap between your OPT expiry and an October H-1B start.
