Job description:
We are seeking an experienced attorney to provide part-time legal support for ongoing business matters and projects. This position will work closely with company leadership and provide practical legal guidance on corporate and commercial matters.
The attorney will primarily assist with reviewing and drafting business agreements, supporting ongoing legal projects, and providing general legal guidance as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide general legal support and advice on day-to-day business matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate business and commercial agreements.
- Review and assist with international business contracts.
- Identify potential legal and contractual risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Support company leadership with ongoing legal projects and matters.
- Review contracts and other legal documents to ensure key terms and obligations are clearly understood.
- Coordinate with outside counsel or other legal professionals when specialized advice is required.
- Maintain organized records of contracts, legal documents, and ongoing matters.
- Communicate clearly with company leadership regarding legal issues, deadlines, and recommendations.
- Assist with additional corporate legal matters as they arise.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia and in good standing.
- Experience with corporate, commercial, or business law.
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating business contracts.
- Experience with international or cross-border business agreements preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters.
- Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
- Experience providing legal advice directly to business owners or company leadership is preferred.
