Customer Solutions Engineer Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer solutions engineer in Colorado?
Most Colorado employers expect a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or electrical engineering, though strong candidates with equivalent technical experience are regularly considered. No state-issued license is required to work as a customer solutions engineer in Colorado. The most common path is starting in a technical support, systems administration, or software implementation role at a Colorado technology company, then moving into a solutions engineering or pre-sales engineering position as product and customer-facing skills develop.
Which companies hire customer solutions engineers in Colorado?
Employers hiring customer solutions engineers in Colorado right now include Fastly, Google, and Xcel Energy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Colorado's concentration of enterprise software, telecom, and cybersecurity companies means recurring demand across both established tech campuses in Denver and the growing corridor between Boulder and Fort Collins.
Which Colorado cities have the most customer solutions engineer jobs?
Denver, Boulder, and Watkins consistently post the most customer solutions engineer openings in Colorado. Denver dominates because it serves as a regional headquarters hub for major enterprise technology and telecom companies, while Boulder's strong startup and SaaS ecosystem drives demand there, and Colorado Springs attracts openings tied to defense technology contractors and government IT service providers.
Are there remote customer solutions engineer jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 33% of customer solutions engineer openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves virtual product demos, cloud environment walkthroughs, and digital collaboration with distributed enterprise clients. The parts of the role most likely to remain on-site are customer onboarding workshops and large-account kickoff meetings.
How can I get hired as a customer solutions engineer in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a technical support or customer success associate role at a Colorado SaaS or cloud infrastructure company first. Employers like Oracle, Lumen Technologies, and mid-size Denver-based software firms regularly bring in associate solutions engineers or technical account coordinators who transition from support queues. Earning a recognized cloud certification such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Google Cloud Associate adds a concrete credential that Colorado hiring managers look for when evaluating candidates without direct solutions engineering experience.
Where can I find and apply to customer solutions engineer jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to customer solutions engineer jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings. Search the roles that match your experience and target location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
