Job Overview
NSDC Logistics is a contractor with FedEx in Stafford, VA. We are hiring full time and part time local delivery drivers. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to various locations in the community. As a Lead Driver, you will also assist with dispatch, package reconciliation, safety metrics, safety meetings, and various leadership & administrative tasks when not personally on a route.
Full time and part time available.
Pay: $200 - $230 per day depending on experience. Paid on a bi-weekly payroll schedule.
Hours: 8:30 am until deliveries are complete.
Drivers will be operating out of the FedEx terminal located at 180 Centreport Pkwy, Fredericksburg, VA
Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to complete local deliveries along designated routes.
- Verify delivery addresses and ensure accurate scanner coding and documentation of the delivery.
- Support safety metrics and hold safety meetings with drivers.
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned by the terminal to reconcile packages.
- Monitor daily package volume to assign routes and schedule drivers accordingly.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during route driving
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and 150lbs with the assistance of a dolly.
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience required.
- Must have a clean background check and motor vehicle record. CDL NOT required.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and DOT physical, paid by the employer.
- Must be 21 or older.
