How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. Tips for Your Director Strategic Growth Job Search
Quantify your revenue impact clearly
Director strategic growth roles demand proof of commercial outcomes. Reframe every bullet on your resume around a business result you drove, such as pipeline generated, markets entered, or partnerships closed. Avoid describing activities when you can describe growth.
Tailor your pitch to growth stage
A Series B startup and a Fortune 500 want very different things from this role. Read each job description for signals like 'build from scratch' versus 'scale existing,' then mirror that language in your cover letter and resume to show you understand what they actually need.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists director strategic growth openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Build a portfolio of growth frameworks
Hiring panels for this role often ask you to present a strategic plan during final rounds. Having two or three documented frameworks you've applied, such as a market entry analysis or a partner ecosystem map, gives you concrete material to adapt rather than building from scratch under pressure.
Prepare a growth case study for interviews
Most director strategic growth interview loops include a case or whiteboard exercise. Structure a real example using the situation, your strategic decision, the cross-functional execution, and the measurable result. Practice delivering it in under ten minutes without slides.
Negotiate scope before negotiating pay
Before discussing compensation, clarify what resources, headcount, and decision-making authority the role actually carries. A title alone tells you little. Asking about budget ownership and reporting lines in the offer stage protects you from a director role that functions like a senior individual contributor.
Director Strategic Growth Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most director strategic growths?
The companies hiring the most director strategic growths right now include Deloitte, TikTok, and Modus Closing, with the largest share of openings in California, New York, and Florida, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Demand is consistently strong in technology, healthcare services, and financial technology sectors.
How many director strategic growth jobs are remote?
About 76% of director strategic growth openings are fully remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's heavy reliance on cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder meetings. Sub-areas focused on digital partnerships, market intelligence, and product-led growth tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while roles tied to field sales or regional expansion typically require more in-person presence.
How do you become a director strategic growth?
Most people reach this role by building a foundation in strategy consulting, business development, or growth-focused product management, then moving into increasingly senior individual contributor or people-manager roles. Demonstrating ownership of a revenue line, a market launch, or a partnership program is more important than any single credential. Developing fluency in financial modeling, competitive analysis, and executive communication accelerates the path considerably.
Can you get hired as a director strategic growth with little experience?
Getting hired at the director level with limited experience is difficult, but candidates who have led a high-impact growth project, even in a smaller company or a non-director title, can compete by documenting outcomes precisely. Targeting earlier-stage companies or newly created roles, where the function is being built rather than inherited, gives you a stronger shot than applying to established programs at large enterprises.
What does the director strategic growth interview process look like?
The process typically begins with a recruiter screen focused on your career trajectory and general fit, followed by a hiring manager conversation that digs into specific growth initiatives you have owned. Later rounds usually involve cross-functional panels with sales, finance, or product leaders and often include a strategy case or presentation exercise. Final stages frequently include a meeting with a C-suite executive or a board-level stakeholder.
Where can I find and apply to director strategic growth jobs?
You can find and apply to director strategic growth jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and target industry, then apply directly to each one that fits.
