PRIMARY FUNCTION: The .5 Title I Teacher will provide targeted, small-group instruction to 4th and 5th grade students who have been identified as needing additional academic support. The teacher will be responsible for working with students during their scheduled DIG blocks, delivering interventions aligned to identified student needs, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with classroom teachers and instructional staff to support student growth and achievement. The position is contingent upon availability of grant funds.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Preferred: Advanced degree(s)
• Experience, Skill and Certification: Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in the assigned teaching field Elementary Education (P-5)

Virtual Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the Virtual Platform in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills
• Uses a variety of programs and software applications, as appropriate, to complete instructional and administrative tasks
• Participate in professional learning to enhance ability to provide engaging online instruction
• Participate in required Professional Learning that leads to virtual teaching endorsement
• Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner

8. Complies with school, district, and state administrative regulations and Board of Education policies

9. Conducts assigned classes at the times scheduled

26. Plans and coordinates purposeful assignments for paraprofessional(s), other supporting staff, and volunteer(s), and provides input to the administrative staff on the performance of these individuals.

27. Performs other duties as required by the district, the school, or student need.

Terms of Employment: Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 190 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience. The position is contingent upon availability of grant funds.
