What You'll Do
As a Turf & Utility Equipment Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, maintain, and service outdoor power equipment and turf machinery while delivering outstanding customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose equipment issues and determine needed repairs accurately.
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs according to work orders and schedules.
- Communicate with the Service Manager regarding additional repairs, parts needs, or schedule concerns.
- Maintain accurate labor and repair documentation.
- Recommend preventative maintenance and additional services that improve equipment performance and reduce customer downtime.
- Professionally communicate repair recommendations and equipment concerns with customers when needed.
- Ensure all parts used are properly documented and billed.
- Complete work order details promptly and accurately.
- Perform service work at customer locations as required.
- Assist with maintaining company equipment and facilities.
- Participate in manufacturer training, company meetings, and development programs.
- Support the service department with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Technical school training in diesel, power equipment, automotive, or mechanical technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience repairing outdoor power equipment, turf equipment, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, diesel engines, or similar machinery.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Mechanical systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical systems
- Diagnostic procedures and troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate equipment and service vehicles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
