ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor facilities, property and equipment on a regular basis for overall condition and safety.
- Implement and maintain work order systems for all major locations.
- Make recommendations for improvements, general maintenance and repairs.
- Perform minor repairs, improvements, and general upkeep including but not limited to landscaping, snow removal, furniture moving and storage, painting, office relocation, etc.
- Secure and monitor all maintenance-related contracts.
- Oversee all security systems.
- Obtain bids in accordance with Agency Fiscal policies and oversee all renovation/facility improvement projects.
- Oversee all file storage and shredding.
- Monitor all storage facilities.
- Interface w/ appropriate Early Childhood staff to ensure that all facility-related licensing issues are met.
- Monitor all emergency repairs at Agency locations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc. in a cost conscious manner.
- Track all maintenance requests.
- Arrange for all necessary repairs.
- Maintain list of approved vendors.
- Issue reports on projects, status and costs as needed.
- Develop and administer annual maintenance budget for all locations.
- Oversee all janitorial contracts and services to ensure cleanliness of all locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: H.S Diploma or equivalent, Trade/technical school preferred
EXPERIENCE: 5+ years w/ facility management exp.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Knowledge of facility issues such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ability to handle basic facility repairs and improvements, computer skills, reliable transportation. and the ability to work flexible hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to sit, walk, stand, climb and bend. The ability to lift 50+ lbs.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Ability to function within guidelines of Agency’s core values, identification with Agency mission, ability to build consensus and motivate employees.
