Field Representative Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field representative in Tennessee?
Most field representative roles in Tennessee require a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field, though some employers accept equivalent work experience. Candidates entering insurance-focused field roles must hold an active Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance producer license in the relevant line of authority, such as property and casualty or life and health. For pharmaceutical or medical device roles, employers typically require documented sales experience and may sponsor internal certification programs.
Which companies hire field representatives in Tennessee?
Tennessee field representative roles are posted by RDSolutions, Monogram Health, and AT&T and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Tennessee's strong base of insurance carriers, healthcare systems, and consumer goods distributors keeps demand for field representatives consistently high across the state.
Which Tennessee cities have the most field representative jobs?
Nashville, Tennessee, and Chattanooga lead Tennessee in field representative openings. Nashville drives volume through its concentration of healthcare systems, insurance companies, and corporate headquarters, while Memphis generates openings through logistics, pharmaceutical distribution, and consumer goods, and Knoxville contributes through its utility and manufacturing sectors serving the broader East Tennessee region.
Are there remote field representative jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, but they're rare. By nature, field representative work is built around in-person site visits, client meetings, and territory coverage, which limits full remote arrangements. About 75% of field representative openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those postings tend to cover inside sales support or reporting and administrative functions rather than true field-facing duties.
How can I get hired as a field representative in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an inside sales or customer service role that transitions into a field position after six to twelve months of demonstrated performance. Large Tennessee employers such as HCA Healthcare and regional insurance carriers regularly post associate territory representative or field sales trainee roles designed for candidates without prior field experience. Earning a Tennessee insurance producer license before applying gives candidates a concrete edge, and retail or account coordinator backgrounds from employers like Dollar General are commonly recognized as qualifying lateral experience.
Where can I find and apply to field representative jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to field representative jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state right now. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and target territory, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
