General Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurate and timely invoicing for complex regional projects within an engineering consulting firm. Apply strong knowledge of accounting principles, billing processes, and revenue recognition while collaborating across Finance, IT, and operations.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee invoicing accuracy and timeliness, including compliance with percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition.
- Resolve escalated invoicing, reporting, and operational inquiries.
- Prioritize and coordinate Regional Finance team workload; delegate tasks and special projects.
- Interpret project contracts to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition.
- Partner with project managers to validate required documentation.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of invoicing and collections.
- Deliver strong internal and external customer service through collaboration.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting; support ERP and billing system improvements.
- Train and mentor staff; support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or 3+ years of relevant experience).
- Experience with percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition and budget forecasting preferred.
- Strong systems proficiency, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving history.
