INTRODUCTION
The Rose Gaming Resort is a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex destination, located alongside I-95 in Dumfries, Virginia. Along with exciting gaming action, The Rose Gaming Resort provides a luxury hotel, eight bars and restaurants, a space for meetings and events, 50,000+ square foot gaming space and over 1,650 Historical Horse Racing machines, and over 80 acres of green space. The Rose Gaming Resort generates an estimated $35.5 million in annual tax revenues and employs more than 500 team members.
JOB SUMMARY
The Environmental Services Lead Attendant is responsible for the successful operation of the EVS shift by working closely with the EVS Supervisor as needed. This role requires the Lead to work with and as an EVS attendant, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness of all casino, administrative offices, and public areas are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the EVS Supervisors with maintaining standards of cleanliness and service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for team members on that shift as needed.
- Review feedback from daily inspections with EVS Leadership.
- Manage supplies and cleanliness of Storage locations, including inventory.
- Get supplies ready for the upcoming shift.
- Maintain inspecting equipment.
- Ensure all Team Members are properly trained to their assigned task.
- Conduct inspections on all gaming and non-gaming EVS areas daily.
- Fill all reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance.
- Maintain the strictest confidence of all confidential and proprietary information.
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates.
- Attend all regular departmental meetings as well as other related meetings.
- Complete necessary reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
- Obtain and retain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
- Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Must have at least three years of Cage management.
- Must be proficient in the entire Microsoft Office Suite.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License. Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
