Most Mississippi employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a closely related field as the starting point. Marketing analysts in Mississippi are not required to hold a state-issued license, so the path centers on education and demonstrated analytical skills. Building proficiency in tools like Google Analytics and Tableau and earning vendor certifications from Google or HubSpot strengthens a candidate's profile considerably for Mississippi listings.
How much do marketing analysts make in Mississippi?
Marketing analysts in Mississippi earn a median of about $56,640 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $30,780 for the lowest 10% to over $95,240 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.

Which Mississippi cities have the most marketing analyst jobs?
Jackson, Oxford, and Tupelo have the most marketing analyst openings in Mississippi. Jackson dominates because it is the state capital and home to the largest concentration of corporate headquarters, regional bank offices, and healthcare networks, while Ridgeland's dense corridor of financial services firms and Hattiesburg's mix of retail and university-linked businesses drive demand in those markets.
Are there remote marketing analyst jobs in Mississippi?
Yes, and more than most fields, given how thoroughly desk-based and data-driven marketing analyst work is. About 40% of marketing analyst openings tied to Mississippi are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the role translates to distributed work. Campaign reporting, digital analytics, and competitive research tend to be the tasks most frequently performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a marketing analyst in Mississippi with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an analytics-adjacent role such as marketing coordinator, data entry analyst, or communications assistant at a Mississippi healthcare network, regional bank, or consumer goods company, then transitioning internally. Employers like Baptist Health Systems and Regions Bank regularly bring on recent graduates through structured rotational or associate programs. A portfolio showing real campaign data analysis, even from class projects or volunteer work, and a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification noticeably improve a first-application's competitiveness.
