Marketing Associate Jobs in Montana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing associate in Montana?
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is the standard entry point for marketing associate roles in Montana. The role carries no state-issued license or registration requirement. Montana employers, particularly in Billings and Bozeman, typically look for candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience through internships, portfolio work, or coursework in digital marketing and data analytics alongside their degree.
Which companies hire marketing associates in Montana?
Companies currently hiring marketing associates in Montana include Granite Peak Home Health, Big Sky Boyne Resort, and University of Providence, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Montana's mix of large healthcare systems, regional financial institutions, and outdoor and agriculture brands means marketing associate openings appear across a range of industries rather than clustering in a single sector.
Which Montana cities have the most marketing associate jobs?
Missoula, Big Sky, and Billings are the Montana cities with the most marketing associate openings. Billings leads as the state's largest commercial center with a strong healthcare and banking presence, Missoula draws openings through its university ecosystem and nonprofit sector, and Bozeman's rapid tech and tourism growth has made it an increasingly active market for marketing roles.
Are there remote marketing associate jobs in Montana?
Yes, and more than most fields. Marketing associate work is largely digital and desk-based, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 36% of marketing associate openings tied to Montana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have adopted flexible work for this role. Content creation, email marketing, and social media management are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a marketing associate in Montana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for marketing coordinator or communications assistant roles at Montana's larger institutions, then moving into a marketing associate title. Billings Clinic, the University of Montana, and Montana State University all run internship and new-grad programs that feed into entry-level marketing positions. Building a portfolio of real campaign work, even from coursework or volunteer projects for local nonprofits, gives candidates a concrete edge when competing against applicants with similar educational backgrounds.
Where can I find and apply to marketing associate jobs in Montana?
You can find and apply to marketing associate jobs in Montana on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit. No sign-up is required to see the openings.
