- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management strategies, behavior management techniques, and personalized support for diverse learners including those in special education settings.
- Mentor students in developing strong communication skills through activities such as creative writing projects, standardized test preparation, and academic advising sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives, instructional design improvements, and integration of library services to enrich learning experiences.
- Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, standardized testing data, and ongoing feedback to tailor instruction accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid certification as a Middle School English Language Arts Teacher or equivalent credentials.
- Proven classroom experience working with middle school students in diverse educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, literacy education strategies, and instructional best practices.
- Familiarity with AP style, copy editing, proofreading, and journalism principles.
- Experience integrating learning technology tools and digital resources into classroom instruction.
