Job Summary
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Michigan is seeking a board eligible/certified physician in Pediatrics/Pediatric Cardiology to join the Michigan Congenital Heart Center. We are recruiting a full-time faculty member (title will be based on qualifications) of Pediatric Cardiology to serve as a member of the non-invasive imaging team.
The candidate must have an MD, DO, MBBS degree or equivalent. They should have completed training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and have completed a year of advanced training in non-invasive cardiac imaging. The candidate should have excellent clinical skills including in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. Experience and skill in fetal cardiology is preferred. The University of Michigan Congenital Heart Center is a high volume program that includes over 50 cardiologists, 4 congenital heart surgeons, 18 categorical fellows and an active Advanced Practitioner team. Our culture is one of collaboration, in which teamwork is prioritized. Teaching ability is highly valued at our center. In addition, preference will be given to a candidate who has demonstrated research experience and productivity.

About the Congenital Heart Center:
As an international referral center for children with complex congenital heart disease, the Congenital Heart Center at University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children's Hospital is one of the largest and most experienced pediatric heart programs in the United States. From diagnosis and medical management of common cardiac disorders to groundbreaking therapies for complex congenital heart conditions, our team is committed to providing the most advanced evidence-based care for infants, children and adolescents with all forms of congenital and acquired heart disease, as well as for adults with congenital heart disease.
Our congenital heart program is one of the highest-volume programs in the nation with over 712 surgical cases, 15,874 clinic visits, 832 catheterizations, 213 electrophysiology cases, and 8+ heart transplants annually. The congenital catheterization laboratory offers congenital heart patients cutting-edge, minimally invasive care including the new Medtronic Harmony transcatheter pulmonary valve, hybrid procedures in collaboration with cardiac surgery, and participation in clinical trials such as the new ASD bioresorbable device trial (ASCENT). With over 50 pediatric cardiologists and one of the largest Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Programs, our dynamic team values collaboration and innovation across sub-specialties.
In addition to the on-site birthing hospital, we collaborate with the co-located U-M Health Frankel Cardiovascular Center's top-ranked adult cardiac program.
