The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Instructor to join Stepful and support our Board of Nursing–approved Practical Nursing program. In this role, you will guide and supervise students during in-person clinical rotations while also partnering closely with program leadership to support student success and day-to-day program operations. You will also teach across our skills labs and virtual didactic modules.
This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with prior nursing education experience who enjoys mentoring students in hands-on learning environments and wants to play an active role in helping shape and grow a Practical Nursing program.
Clinical instruction takes place onsite at our partner healthcare facility in the Toledo/Maumee, Ohio area on Fridays from 6am–6pm, with scheduling aligned to program rotations. Outside of clinical instruction, this role will also support the Practical Nursing program through a variety of instructional, operational, and student support activities in collaboration with the Program Director and broader academic team.
This is a full-time opportunity with a mix of onsite and remote responsibilities depending on program needs. This role reports to the Practical Nursing Program Director.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and supervise in-person clinical rotations at partner healthcare facilities in the Toledo/Maumee area (Fridays, 6a-6p)
- Deliver curriculum content, answer student questions, and provide timely feedback
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students
- Partner with the Program Director to support ongoing program operations and student success initiatives
- Assist with instructional, administrative, and program-related activities as needed
- Serve as a subject matter expert in practical nursing education
- Teach across skills labs and virtual didactic, in addition to overseeing clinical rotations
What you’ll bring:
- 2+ years of experience as faculty in an RN or LPN education program
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, with 5+ years of varied nursing experience across clinical practice, nursing education, and/or administration
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Active, unencumbered Ohio RN license
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, in both virtual and in-person settings

The target base salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $90,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations.
