The Role
The Regional Director of Operations is the direct leader of our facility Administrators. You’ll be accountable for the operational, financial, regulatory, and clinical-quality performance of your buildings, and for developing Administrators who run their facilities independently, not by escalation.
What You’ll Own
- Direct supervision, coaching, and performance management of Administrators across the region
- Holding Administrators accountable for department-head performance and follow-through
- Facility P&L performance: census, labor, payroll accuracy, overtime and agency control, and spend management
- Survey readiness and regulatory compliance; leading POC development and follow-up after state surveys and complaint investigations
- QAPI oversight: ensuring each building runs a working QAPI program with real PIPs and measurable results
- Ensuring resident and family complaints and grievances are handled promptly and documented by Administrators
- Census growth in partnership with Business Development; supporting admissions, payer mix, and hospital relationships
- Partnering with Regional Nurses, MDS, Revenue Cycle, HR, and Maintenance to resolve facility issues at the building level
- Regular on-site presence in each facility, including rounds, audits, and Administrator meetings
Requirements
- Active Ohio Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license
- 3+ years as a multi-facility RDO/regional operator or a strong track record as a SNF Administrator ready to step up
- Proven survey outcomes and experience leading facilities through difficult surveys
- Strong financial acumen: budgets, P&Ls, labor management
- A leader who builds accountability rather than doing others’ jobs for them
- Willingness to travel regularly between Columbus and Cleveland markets
Preferred
- Experience with turnaround or acquisition integration
- Working knowledge of PDPM, MDS, and Ohio Medicaid
Pay: $140,600.00 - $200,000.00 per year
