Oncology Sales Specialist Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a oncology sales specialist in Washington?
Most oncology sales specialists in Washington begin with a bachelor's degree in life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or business, then build experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales before moving into oncology. Washington does not require a state-issued sales license for this role, but candidates who hold or have held a Washington pharmacy technician registration or a healthcare clinical background carry a real advantage when applying to oncology-focused teams at major health systems and biotech employers in the state.
Which companies hire oncology sales specialists in Washington?
Employers hiring oncology sales specialists in Washington right now include Providence Swedish, University Of Washington, and Eisai, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's strong biotech corridor around Seattle and Bothell means oncology-focused companies and regional specialty pharma distributors maintain active commercial teams here year-round.
Which Washington cities have the most oncology sales specialist jobs?
Seattle, Tacoma, and Edmonds account for the most oncology sales specialist openings in Washington. Seattle drives the largest share because of its dense concentration of major health systems such as UW Medicine and Swedish Health Services, while Bellevue and Tacoma generate consistent openings tied to MultiCare, CHI Franciscan, and the biotech employers based along the I-405 corridor.
Are there remote oncology sales specialist jobs in Washington?
Yes, but they're rare. Oncology sales roles require face-to-face engagement with oncologists, infusion centers, and hospital pharmacy teams, so fully remote positions are the exception rather than the rule. About 67% of oncology sales specialist openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to cover reporting, training, or account strategy work rather than active territory coverage.
How can I get hired as a oncology sales specialist in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a pharmaceutical sales associate or medical device sales representative role at a Washington-based company, then building toward oncology once you have territory experience. Large health system networks such as UW Medicine and Providence Health sometimes hire oncology account coordinators or clinical education liaisons who transition into sales roles internally. A Washington pharmacy technician registration, a science degree, or demonstrated clinical background in oncology nursing or infusion gives candidates a measurable edge with hiring managers in the state.
Where can I find and apply to oncology sales specialist jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to oncology sales specialist jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings across health systems, biotech companies, and specialty pharma employers. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match.
