Our Operations Manager needs to understand the technical challenges our engineers and designers face, provide guidance, review engineering work, solve problems, and jump in and perform engineering work when the team needs additional support.
You should be comfortable moving between engineering, project management, employee leadership, client communication, and company operations.
If you enjoy solving difficult engineering problems, mentoring other engineers, managing projects, working directly with clients, and helping shape the future of a company, this could be an excellent fit.

Operations Manager Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a operations manager in Louisiana?
Most operations manager roles in Louisiana require a bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial management, or a related field, though some industrial employers accept equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Louisiana does not require a state-issued license specifically for operations managers, but candidates pursuing roles in regulated industries such as oil and gas or healthcare benefit from earning certifications like Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or a Project Management Professional credential before applying.
How much do operations managers make in Louisiana?
Operations managers in Louisiana earn a median of about $101,790 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $50,470 for the lowest 10% to over $219,240 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire operations managers in Louisiana?
Companies currently hiring operations managers in Louisiana include PDS Health, CBRE, and PCMS, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Louisiana's strong petrochemical, maritime, and healthcare sectors mean that industrial contractors, hospital systems, and port logistics firms account for a large share of open positions across the state.
Which Louisiana cities have the most operations manager jobs?
Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, and New Orleans have the highest concentration of operations manager openings in Louisiana. New Orleans drives demand through its port logistics and hospitality industries, Baton Rouge reflects the petrochemical and government contractor sector along the industrial corridor, and Shreveport's activity is anchored by regional healthcare systems and manufacturing facilities in the northwest part of the state.
Are there remote operations manager jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, but they're rare. Operations management is largely a hands-on, on-site function involving direct oversight of teams, facilities, and supply chains, which limits remote arrangements. About 33% of operations manager openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those postings tend to concentrate in corporate-level or multi-site roles where coordination rather than physical presence is the primary responsibility.
How can I get hired as a operations manager in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a team lead or shift supervisor role within logistics, manufacturing, or healthcare administration and building direct oversight experience from there. Large Louisiana employers such as industrial contractors along the Baton Rouge corridor and hospital networks like Ochsner Health regularly hire operations coordinators and administrative supervisors as stepping stones. Earning a Lean Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt credential before applying gives candidates a measurable advantage at the resume screening stage.
Where can I find and apply to operations manager jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to operations manager jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings for roles that match your experience level and industry background, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
