Build an operations engine that never stops improving
Join us to lead plant operations with a mission to deliver safe, high-quality products—on time and on budget—every day. Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, you will synchronize production, materials, and inventory; set schedules; and elevate processes to meet our business plan and regulatory obligations. You’ll strengthen technical skills and standard work within the team and collaborate with Management and Accounting to create and uphold operating budgets.
Your mandate
- Safety first—establish, model, and reinforce safe behaviors; target incident-free performance in line with company and governmental standards.
- End-to-end manufacturing performance—achieve results in safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.
- Culture and systems—embed our vision and values; deliver Operational Excellence through the Trivium Production System (TPS).
- Continuous improvement—use structured problem-solving and statistical tools to identify losses, implement countermeasures, confirm impact, and refine.
- Asset care—partner with Technical Managers to optimize maintenance strategies and equipment reliability.
- People leadership—set direction, coach Operations Team Leads, and conduct performance management with an emphasis on teamwork and timely feedback.
- Cost stewardship—identify savings opportunities and manage labor costs, including overtime.
- Scheduling mastery—create effective production and crewing schedules that balance output, quality, and inventory; delegate work and track progress.
- Innovation support—enable new product development and successful introductions.
- Quality partnership—work closely with Operations/Quality leadership; monitor statistical parameters and lead root-cause actions for nonconforming materials or products.
- HR partnership—collaborate on escalated personnel issues.
- Operational rigor—review reports and requests impacting cost-effectiveness and quality; act or approve promptly.
- Measurement—define and enforce quantitative production indicators.
- Transparency—prepare periodic reports and performance updates.
- Talent—recruit and select the operations team; maintain internal and external communications as needed 24/7 to keep the business running smoothly.
- Food safety mastery—ensure the team is conversant in BRC Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP principles, and BRC Standards and Applications.
- Environmental leadership—maintain ISO 14001 conformity for the environmental management system and report performance to top management.
- Other duties as assigned.
What sets you up for success
- Associate/Technical degree in a related field with five years in high-volume manufacturing leadership (can/end manufacturing preferred), including hiring, evaluations, coaching, training, and development; or meaningful related experience.
- Track record leading in fast-paced, tight-tolerance operations with complex problem-solving.
- Skilled communicator across all organizational levels; relationship builder.
- Continuous improvement orientation with a systems perspective.
- Preferred exposure to OSHA, ISO, HACCP, and/or GMP.
- Familiarity with statistics and quality metrics.
- Technical proficiency with Windows, MS Office, Visio, SAP, and related platforms.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations.
Environment and physical requirements
Office space is located on the production floor. Expect very loud areas outside the office; hearing protection and assigned PPE are required. Temperatures can range from extreme cold (<40 degrees) to extreme heat (>90 degrees), with potential exposure to fumes, dust, and odors. You will use a computer, cellphone, and other office equipment.
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger/handle/feel, talk, and hear. Frequently reach with hands/arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision and color recognition.
How we recognize your contribution
Salary Range: $103,000 - $129,000 (good-faith estimate based on the expected scope of the role and internal equity considerations).
