Job Summary

The Supervisor of Residential Operations (Home Manager) will model person-centered practices and ensure dignity and respect for all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while serving as a supervisor for other DSPs. This role ensures high-quality, person-centered services, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective supervision of staff. The SRO acts as a liaison between the DSP team, program management, and families, promoting dignity, independence, and inclusion for all individuals served. They are responsible for the development of activities and coordination of programming and services through staff development, individual support plans, and collaboration under the direction of the Manager of Residential Operations.
Essential Duties

70% Person Centered Care and Services

• Deliver holistic person-centered care daily care, with dignity and respect and aligned with the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
• Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, bathroom assistance or housekeeping.
• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with individual diet plans.
• Administer medication as documented under the direction (supervision) of a nurse.
• Use AbleLight electronic medical record (EMR) and human resource technology to fully ensure timely, complete, and objective documentation aligned with medical orders, state requirements, and AbleLight quality and internal procedures and guidelines.
• Write, enter information on service delivery documentation into the EMR system and support others through mentoring and feedback.
• Ensure the Individual Support Plan (ISP) maximizes the quality of life, supporting engaging activities to enhance the quality of daily living, individuals’ personal goals, and spiritual supports.
• Ensures general event reporting (GER) is maintained and is aligned with medical orders, state compliance requirements, abuse reporting, court orders and AbleLight quality and internal procedures and guidelines.
• Schedule and take individuals to medical appointments, outings, or errands.
• Serves to facilitate conversation between DSPs, program managers, families, and external stakeholders.
• Take responsibility for all shopping-related tasks.
• Take responsibility for vehicle maintenance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams (i.e., nursing, behavior, etc.) to ensure wholistic support.
• Maintain professional behavior and confidentiality.
• Maintain a strong and collaborative working partnership with all colleagues, leadership, PWS, and parents & guardians.

30% Talent & Administration

• Function as a front-line supervisor for DSP colleagues, in partnership with MRO.
• Bring recommendations forward related to quality and process improvements for our employees and those we serve.
• Escalates topics to the manager as needed.
• Oversee DSP team schedules, attendance, and performance.
• Effectively delegates work within the program, conduct regular check-ins, provide coaching, feedback and mentoring for DSP staff.
• Facilitate team meetings and communicate organizational updates.
• In partnership with operational leaders, human resources, quality, and nursing, welcomes, onboard, and trains new colleagues and raises additional training and development needs for staff to Manager of Residential Operations.
• For the identified residential home(s) coordinate and ensure standard operating procedures are consistently implemented including:
• Audit health appointments, ISPs, monitoring medical supplies and prescriptions, and monthly facility audits.
• Ordering food and supplies and allocation of receipts to house and program financials.
• Reconcile and enter personal funds records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment always in the residence.
• Maintain a master calendar of appointments, facility activities, meetings for residence.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations (e.g., Medicaid, HCBS Waiver requirements).
• Maintain accurate documentation for service delivery, incident reports, and progress notes.
• Monitor compliance with ISPs and Behavior Support Plans. • Conduct audits of records and correct discrepancies promptly. • Participate in internal audits and accreditation processes. • Address corrective actions from compliance reviews.

Minimum Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: One year’s experience in IDD setting in work, volunteer, or educational capacity. Six months or more leadership experience is preferred - project management, team/task lead, supervisor, etc.
Travel/Flexibility Ability to be flexible on hours and residential settings to assist colleagues and those we serve. Schedule including both direct support (program) and administrative (office) workdays rotating on-call responsibilities (evenings & weekends).
Certifications Adult CPR and first aid certification if required by local agencies. Drivers’ license required if role involves driving others or required by state regulations.
