INTRODUCTION
Category-defining tech. Career-defining work. The next era of software won’t operate at human scale. Applications will create applications. Systems will coordinate with systems. Data and decisions will move faster than teams can react to them. The infrastructure powering that world cannot be fragile, reactive, or limited by the assumptions of the past. Cockroach Labs exists to build what comes next — before the world requires it. We created CockroachDB to survive failures, scale without compromise, and adapt to changing conditions automatically. Now we’re helping define a future where complexity fades into the background and infrastructure simply works, no matter the scale. This is the kind of challenge that attracts people who want to shape industries, not just participate in them. The work is ambitious, the standards are high, and the impact is real.
THE ROLE
We’re hiring a Technical Partner Marketing Manager to help shape and amplify the narrative across CockroachDB’s partner and ISV ecosystem. We’re looking for someone with strong partner marketing experience, a clear point of view on modern infrastructure and AI, and the ability to build credibility across social channels, developer communities, and industry events. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Marketing, you’ll work closely with partner engineering, alliances, and product marketing to turn integrations and technical work into compelling content, thought leadership, developer programs, and go-to-market campaigns that drive awareness and adoption. You’ll help turn partner integrations and technical innovation into stories developers and technical buyers actually care about — strengthening CockroachDB’s position within the evolving AI and cloud ecosystem.
YOU WILL
Own the Partner Marketing Narrative:
- Lead go-to-market storytelling for strategic technology partners across cloud, AI, and ISV ecosystems
- Create technical content, co-marketing campaigns, and developer-facing assets that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement
- Translate integrations and engineering work into clear, compelling narratives for developers and technical buyers
- Align partner launches and content with the broader integration roadmap and company positioning
Be the Technical Voice of the Ecosystem:
- Serve as a public-facing voice for Cockroach Labs across social channels, webinars, events, and developer communities
- Bring a strong point of view on AI-native applications, distributed systems, and modern infrastructure
- Build credibility with technical audiences through thought leadership, storytelling, and ecosystem engagement
Drive Ecosystem Growth:
- Help position CockroachDB as the trusted data layer for AI-native and modern applications
- Create demos, technical walkthroughs, and partner content that help developers build with CockroachDB
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product marketing, alliances, and demand gen to amplify partner initiatives and support pipeline growth
- Track performance and continuously refine content and programs based on engagement, awareness, and business impact
THE EXPECTATIONS
In your first 30 days, you'll meet the partner team, audit existing partner content and co-marketing agreements, and map the current integration landscape. You'll also build relationships with corporate marketing, product marketing, and demand gen. By 60 days, you'll publish your first technical partner content pieces, launch a webinar or virtual event with a priority ISV partner, and establish a content calendar tied to the integration roadmap. By 90 days, you'll have a repeatable go-to-market playbook for new partner integrations, active dev rel engagement in at least two ISV ecosystems, and measurable partner content contributing to awareness and pipeline.
YOU HAVE
- 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, developer relations, partner marketing, or content marketing in a B2B technology company.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create content for developer and engineering audiences.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, APIs, databases, or infrastructure products.
- Comfort collaborating closely with engineering and product teams.
- Ability to plan and execute webinars, workshops, and virtual programs independently.
- Track record of creating content that drives measurable developer engagement or pipeline.
- A self-starter mentality. You don't wait for a brief. You go find the story.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience marketing to developers or within developer ecosystems.
- Familiarity with databases, distributed systems, or cloud-native infrastructure.
- Background in AI/ML ecosystem partnerships or ISV marketing.
- Experience with dev rel community building (forums, Discord, GitHub, Stack Overflow).

Partner Marketing Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a partner marketing manager in New York?
Partner marketing manager roles in New York do not require a state-issued license or credential. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business, followed by hands-on experience in channel, alliance, or co-marketing functions. New York's dense concentration of tech, media, and financial services firms means that candidates who have worked inside a structured partner program, particularly in SaaS or enterprise software, move to the front of the line.
How much do partner marketing managers make in New York?
Partner marketing managers in New York earn a median of about $181,200 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,140 for the lowest 10% to over $324,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire partner marketing managers in New York?
Employers hiring partner marketing managers in New York right now include Adobe, Cockroach Labs, and DUETTI, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's status as a hub for enterprise technology, media, and financial services means that both global headquarters and large regional offices post these roles regularly throughout the year.
Which New York cities have the most partner marketing manager jobs?
New York and New York City account for the largest share of partner marketing manager openings in New York. New York City drives the majority of demand because it concentrates the North American headquarters and large regional offices of technology, media, and financial services companies that run formal partner programs, while suburban markets like White Plains attract roles tied to enterprise software and managed services firms based in the Hudson Valley corridor.
Are there remote partner marketing manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 50% of partner marketing manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based and cross-functional nature of the work. Campaign planning, partner enablement content, and program reporting are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely, while partner event coordination and in-person executive briefings typically require at least occasional presence.
How can I get hired as a partner marketing manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a marketing coordinator or channel operations role inside a company that already has a partner program. Large New York-based technology and media firms often hire associate or program coordinator roles that sit within partner or alliances teams, giving candidates direct exposure to co-marketing workflows. Building a portfolio of campaign briefs, partner enablement materials, or go-to-market plans strengthens applications significantly, as does earning a recognized marketing certification through organizations like the American Marketing Association.
