Client Executive Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client executive in New York?
The typical path starts with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or communications followed by two to four years in an account management, sales, or client services role. New York employers in financial services may expect familiarity with FINRA-regulated environments, and some firms prefer candidates who hold a Series 7 or Series 63 license through FINRA. Building experience at a New York agency, SaaS company, or financial institution before moving into a client executive title is the most common route.
How much do client executives make in New York?
Client executives in New York earn a median of about $92,190 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $45,750 for the lowest 10% to over $174,820 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire client executives in New York?
Employers hiring client executives in New York right now include Medidata Solutions, World Wide Technology, and Centivo, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's density of financial institutions, enterprise technology firms, and global media companies means client executive roles appear across a wide range of industries and company sizes.
Which New York cities have the most client executive jobs?
New York and Buffalo have the most client executive openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its concentration of financial services headquarters, enterprise technology offices, and global media companies, while White Plains and other Westchester locations draw demand from large corporate campuses that serve the tri-state region.
Are there remote client executive jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields, since client executive work is primarily relationship-driven and communication-based rather than tied to a physical worksite. About 43% of client executive openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed client portfolios tend to be in enterprise and SaaS environments. Strategic account management and digital-first industries offer the most fully remote opportunities.
How can I get hired as a client executive in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a business development representative or account coordinator role at a New York SaaS company or financial services firm, where you build pipeline and client communication skills before moving into a client executive title. Large employers like IBM and Salesforce run structured associate programs in New York that develop junior talent into client-facing roles. A demonstrated ability to manage relationships, combined with a FINRA license for financial services tracks, gives candidates a clear edge in a competitive applicant pool.
Where can I find and apply to client executive jobs in New York?
