Marketing Coordinator Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing coordinator in New York?
Most marketing coordinator positions in New York require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a closely related field. New York does not issue a state license for this role, so hiring decisions turn on education, portfolio, and demonstrated digital marketing skills. Many candidates build their credentials through internships with New York agencies or brand teams, and completing recognized certifications in platforms like Google Analytics or Meta Ads strengthens applications significantly.
Which companies hire marketing coordinators in New York?
New York marketing coordinator roles are posted by CELLA, Katten, and Barry's and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New York's concentration of media companies, consumer brands, financial institutions, and creative agencies means openings appear across a wide range of industries rather than clustering in a single sector.
Which New York cities have the most marketing coordinator jobs?
New York, Roslyn, and Buffalo lead New York for marketing coordinator openings. New York City drives the overwhelming share of listings because it is home to the headquarters of major media groups, fashion houses, and financial firms, while Albany and Buffalo draw steadily from healthcare systems, universities, and regional consumer brands that maintain dedicated marketing teams.
Are there remote marketing coordinator jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 38% of marketing coordinator openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work, including content scheduling, campaign reporting, and vendor coordination, can be done off-site. The roles most likely to stay fully in-office are those tied to events, retail activations, or photo and video production.
How can I get hired as a marketing coordinator in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an internship or coordinator-assistant role at a New York agency or brand, where many full-time openings are filled from within. Large New York employers like media companies and consumer goods firms run structured new-graduate programs that accept candidates with little direct experience. Lateral moves from roles in customer service, communications, or sales support are common and recognized by New York hiring managers. A portfolio of content, a campaign case study, or a Google Analytics certification gives entry-level candidates a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to marketing coordinator jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to marketing coordinator jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings. Search the listings, find roles that fit your experience and target market, and apply directly to the ones that match.
