Experienced Dental Front Office Professional
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Patient Care Coordinator to join our dental practice. We are looking for someone with hands-on dental front office experience who can manage patient scheduling, insurance coordination, treatment plan presentation, and schedule optimization.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, communicates well with patients, and understands how to keep a dental schedule productive and full.
Responsibilities
- Dentrix: Navigate Dentrix proficiently for scheduling, patient records, and daily front office tasks.
- Patient Scheduling: Schedule appointments efficiently, manage cancellations, and fill openings in the schedule.
- Recall and Reactivation: Contact overdue patients and proactively schedule outstanding hygiene and treatment appointments.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient dental benefits, eligibility, and coverage before appointments.
- EOB Explanation: Explain dental insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), patient portions, deductibles, and insurance payments to patients.
- Treatment Plan Presentation: Present treatment plans, explain estimated out-of-pocket costs, and help patients schedule recommended treatment.
- Schedule Management: Maintain a productive schedule by following up with patients, filling cancellations, and identifying unscheduled treatment.
- Patient Communication: Provide friendly, professional service while handling questions about appointments, treatment, and insurance.
Qualifications
- Required: Previous experience working in a dental office.
- Required: Proficiency with Dentrix.
- Strong understanding of dental insurance, EOBs, and benefit verification.
- Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing patient financial responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to fill the schedule through recall, follow-up, and patient reactivation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of front office responsibilities.
The right person will actively manage the schedule, communicate confidently about insurance, and help patients move forward with recommended care.
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
