Duties include:
- Provides operational and administrative supervision to clinical practice personnel (front desk, billers and clinical staff) and guidance on all matters affecting the clinical practice.
- Participates effectively in personnel matters, coordinates functions of staff, reassigning and distributing work assignment, and evaluates the education and training needs of personnel and directs development and implementation of in-service programs.
- Supervises and conducts performance evaluations of clinical practice personnel and ensures that the staff is evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to the clinical practice’s policies and procedures. Provides appropriate management interventions in an effective manner.
- Performs and recommends the hiring, firing, training, performance recognition / assessment, discipline, timekeeping, record keeping, policy implementation, promoting and other personnel actions

- Two (2) years of supervisory/managerial experience required.

- Demonstrated knowledge of the clinical revenue cycle, including thorough knowledge of billing/ coding regulations and practices.
- Demonstrated interest and participation in professional, educational and research activities.
- May be required to work evenings and weekends depending on the need.
- Outstanding human relations and leadership skills and the ability to function in a team environment required.
- Demonstrated commitment to reproductive justice, health equity, and abortion access is required.
- Equivalent experience, education and / or training may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Knowledge of how to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment is preferred.
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
