Overview
Nowlogy® is the largest doctoral clinic in the country, a psychologist-owned practice built only around doctoral-level clinicians. You are joining a connected team of PhD and PsyD psychologists, not a booking platform and not a hospital rotation. Care here is matched to the person, rooted in the local clinic, and grounded in assessment, therapy, and coaching.
Your fellowship is built for licensure and for a specialty. All fellows receive generalist cases to develop breadth of competence, but tracks are designed to help fellows who wish to specialize in (1) OCD, anxiety, and trauma, (2) child, adolescent, and family work, (3) health psychology (e.g., eating disorders, addictions, chronic health, infertility, cancer), (4) sports and rehabilitation psychology, or (5) LGBTQ+ care. Don’t see a track that appeals to your niche? Tell us and we can develop one. We even offer fellows to opt in to our career path track (in which you are guaranteed a position after you complete your postdoctoral fellowship).
You will train in the expertise our clinics are known for, including psychological testing and evidence-based treatment, with weekly individual and group supervision and didactics on leading empirically supported treatment and emerging technology in psychology.
You also will have what a small practice cannot give you: peers at the same stage, billing and administrative support, built-in referrals, and time for EPPP prep. Most fellows (95% in 2025-2026 cohort) stayed on as colleagues, whether as employees, contractors, or owners of their own Nowlogy® clinic.
This fellowship is highly competitive. Each year we receive a large number of applications from well-qualified doctoral candidates and extend offers to only about 30% of applicants. We select carefully because the year is designed as a genuine launch into independent practice: structured supervision, specialty-track training, licensure support, and a clear pathway to continued employment or clinic ownership. Fellows who complete the program gain meaningful and unique skills, along with the hours and professional reputation needed to advance quickly into career roles at Nowlogy.
Responsibilities
- Opportunities for therapy, assessments, and a combination.
- Provide individual (and potentially group) sessions tailored to the needs of clients.
- Offer specialized care for clients with general presenting problems, as well as within your area of expertise.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Attend individual and group supervision meetings as required for licensure, with additional ad hoc training opportunities available
- Utilize telehealth platforms to reach patients who may benefit from remote services.
- Stay current with best practices in psychology and ongoing learning opportunities through continuous education and professional development.
Experience/Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution (U.S. or Canada), including successful completion of an internship training program.
- Experience utilizing telehealth services is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
