Sales Advisor Jobs in Hawaii: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales advisor in Hawaii?
Most sales advisor roles in Hawaii require only a high school diploma and on-the-job training, but roles involving insurance or investment products require an active Hawaii insurance producer license issued by the Hawaii Insurance Division. Candidates sit the relevant state exam, submit a licensing application, and complete any required pre-licensing education. For financial advising roles, FINRA Series licensing is also expected and candidates typically pursue that alongside state registration.
Which companies hire sales advisors in Hawaii?
Companies currently hiring sales advisors in Hawaii include H&M, Tesla, and Goodyear, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hawaii's strong retail, financial services, and hospitality sectors mean that large banks, insurance carriers, and consumer brands are among the most consistent sources of openings across the islands.
Which Hawaii cities have the most sales advisor jobs?
Honolulu, Kapolei, and Pearl City are the Hawaii cities with the most sales advisor openings. Honolulu accounts for the largest share because it is home to the state's major retail corridors, financial institutions, and corporate offices, while Hilo and Kailua-Kona draw openings from the Big Island's growing tourism economy and regional banking presence.
Are there remote sales advisor jobs in Hawaii?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely desk-based fields, since many sales advisor roles involve face-to-face client interaction. About 0% of sales advisor openings tied to Hawaii are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions are most often in insurance sales, financial product advising, or software and SaaS account management where the sales cycle happens over phone and video.
How can I get hired as a sales advisor in Hawaii with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for retail sales associate or customer service representative roles at large Hawaii employers like First Hawaiian Bank, Aloha Insurance, or major resort operators, then moving into an advisor title once you have demonstrated sales results. Many Hawaii-based financial institutions offer structured associate programs that provide on-the-job licensing support. Earning your Hawaii insurance producer license before applying gives candidates a clear edge even without prior sales experience.
Where can I find and apply to sales advisor jobs in Hawaii?
