Sales Jobs in Hawaii: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales professional in Hawaii?
The path depends on the sales specialty you pursue. For real estate sales, Hawaii requires passing the state licensing exam and registering with the Hawaii Real Estate Commission before practicing. For most other sales roles, employers look for a combination of a bachelor's degree in business or marketing and direct sales experience. Starting in an inside sales or retail sales role at a Hawaii-based employer is the most common entry point into the field.
Which companies hire sales professionals in Hawaii?
Hawaii sales roles are posted by HouseMart, My Wireless, and AutoZone and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hawaii's mix of tourism-driven hospitality, real estate development, and locally anchored financial services means sales hiring is spread across several distinct industry sectors on the islands.
Which Hawaii cities have the most sales jobs?
Honolulu, Hilo, and Kaimuki hold the highest concentration of sales openings in Hawaii. Honolulu dominates because it is the state's commercial center, home to the largest financial institutions, corporate headquarters, and hospitality companies, while Maui and Kailua-Kona generate openings through their active real estate markets and resort-driven business development activity.
Are there remote sales jobs in Hawaii?
Yes, and more than most fields, since many sales roles in account management and inside sales translate well to remote work. About 0% of sales openings tied to Hawaii are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader adoption of distributed sales teams. Inside sales, SaaS account management, and territory sales roles tied to the mainland U.S. are the positions most likely to be listed as remote or hybrid.
How can I get hired as a sales professional in Hawaii with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a retail or hospitality sales role, since Hawaii's resort and retail sectors hire candidates without a formal sales background and provide structured on-the-job training. Large employers like hotel groups and financial services firms on Oahu run associate or new-hire sales programs that build toward quota-carrying roles. Completing a pre-licensing course for the Hawaii Real Estate Salesperson exam can also open doors quickly, as licensed candidates are in demand across residential and commercial brokerage firms statewide.
Where can I find and apply to sales jobs in Hawaii?
You can find and apply to sales jobs in Hawaii on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the islands. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and specialty, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
