Marketing Jobs in Hawaii: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing professional in Hawaii?
Most marketing roles in Hawaii require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. There is no state-issued marketing license in Hawaii, so hiring decisions center on education, a demonstrable portfolio, and relevant experience. Employers in tourism and hospitality often prioritize candidates familiar with Hawaii's visitor industry, and professional certifications in digital marketing or analytics can strengthen an application significantly.
Which companies hire marketings in Hawaii?
Companies currently hiring marketings in Hawaii include Hilton Grand Vacations, Travel + Leisure, and Marriott Vacations Worldwide, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hawaii's visitor economy means hospitality groups, airlines, and resort operators are among the most consistent sources of marketing openings statewide.
Which Hawaii cities have the most marketing jobs?
Honolulu, Lahaina, and Waikoloa have the most marketing openings in Hawaii. Honolulu dominates because it is home to the state's largest corporate offices, government agencies, and major tourism infrastructure, while Maui and Kona draw openings tied to resort communities and the visitor industry that anchors those economies.
Are there remote marketing jobs in Hawaii?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 36% of marketing openings tied to Hawaii are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and digital nature of much of the work. Roles focused on content creation, SEO, email marketing, and paid media are the most likely to be offered with full or partial remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as a marketing professional in Hawaii with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an internship or coordinator role with a Hawaii hospitality or retail brand, where competition is lower than at corporate headquarters. Large employers such as Aulani Resort and the Hawaii Tourism Authority periodically hire marketing assistants and communications associates for entry-level candidates. Building a portfolio of real campaign samples, even from volunteer or student projects, and earning a recognized digital marketing certification gives a Hawaii applicant a clear edge over resume-only submissions.
Where can I find and apply to marketing jobs in Hawaii?
You can find and apply to marketing jobs in Hawaii on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and goals, and apply directly to whichever positions fit.
