Sales Coordinator Jobs in Hawaii: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales coordinator in Hawaii?
Most sales coordinator roles in Hawaii are filled by candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though no state-issued license is required for the role itself. Employers in hospitality and tourism, which dominate Hawaii's economy, often prioritize candidates familiar with property management systems or hospitality sales software. Building experience in customer service or administrative support roles at Hawaii hotels, resorts, or retail operations is a common and concrete path into the position.
Which companies hire sales coordinators in Hawaii?
Hawaii sales coordinator roles are posted by Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Hilton, and Highgate and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hawaii's hospitality-heavy economy means a large share of openings come from hotel groups, vacation ownership companies, and retail chains with a significant island presence.
Which Hawaii cities have the most sales coordinator jobs?
Honolulu, Lahaina, and Lihue have the most sales coordinator openings in Hawaii. Honolulu accounts for the largest concentration by far given its role as the state's commercial, retail, and convention hub, while Maui and Kona openings are driven by resort and vacation ownership operators that maintain dedicated on-property sales teams.
Are there remote sales coordinator jobs in Hawaii?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since many Hawaii sales coordinator roles involve on-site client interaction, property tours, or convention floor support. About 0% of sales coordinator openings tied to Hawaii are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with remote work most often found in inside sales coordination and wholesale account support roles that don't require physical presence at a resort or retail location.
How can I get hired as a sales coordinator in Hawaii with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a front-desk, guest services, or retail associate role at a Hawaii hotel, resort, or retail chain, since employers like Hilton Grand Vacations and Outrigger actively promote from within their customer-facing teams. Completing a hospitality or business program at the University of Hawaii or Kapiolani Community College strengthens an application, and familiarity with CRM tools or basic sales reporting gives candidates a clear edge even without a formal coordinator title on their resume.
