Sales Coordinator Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales coordinator in Texas?
Most Texas employers hire sales coordinators who hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or communications, though associate degrees combined with relevant work experience can qualify candidates for junior roles. Texas does not require a state-issued license to work as a sales coordinator. Earning a Salesforce Administrator certification or a HubSpot Sales Software credential is increasingly expected by mid-size and enterprise employers across Houston, Dallas, and Austin.
Which companies hire sales coordinators in Texas?
Employers hiring sales coordinators in Texas right now include USA Renovations, Holt, and Herc Rentals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and large regional offices across energy, technology, and healthcare means sustained demand for coordination roles throughout the year.
Which Texas cities have the most sales coordinator jobs?
Houston, Dallas, and Austin account for the largest share of sales coordinator openings in Texas. Houston's energy and logistics sectors, Dallas-Fort Worth's dense corporate corridor of telecom and financial services headquarters, and Austin's fast-growing technology industry each generate consistent demand for sales coordination talent across companies of every size.
Are there remote sales coordinator jobs in Texas?
Yes, and they're more common than in many comparable roles. About 27% of sales coordinator openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on email, CRM updates, and virtual client communication. Tasks involving in-person client meetings or showroom support remain the exception most likely to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a sales coordinator in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an administrative or customer service role inside a sales-driven Texas company, then moving laterally once you understand the team's pipeline. Large Texas employers like Dell, AT&T, and major Houston-area energy firms regularly hire sales assistants and junior account coordinators who transition into full coordinator roles within one to two years. Building proficiency in Salesforce through its free Trailhead learning platform is the single credential that most consistently moves candidates ahead of the competition.
